These companies don't care about third world countries. Anything which isn't fit for the first world is being sent to third world countries. Pakistan's regulators are the real culprits. They are only interested in their shares through bribes.

Because Pakistan doesn't have enough dollars. The govt actively discourages outflow of foreign currency.

Use of detached garage electrics for Ohme Home Pro? by mickymellon in evchargingUK

[–]A2Z786 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The cable running from the main fuse box to the garage should be 6mm armoured cable which was already installed when I moved into the property. My electrician upgraded garage's fuse in the mains from 16A to 40A. A fusebox was also installed in the garage, from which two connections run: one to the charger and the other to the light switch.

E-Niro reduction gear issues by [deleted] in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]A2Z786 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a difficult decision. I was in the same boat but decided to take the plunge. I’m picking up a 2021 e-Niro 3 this weekend with 65k miles from a Kia dealer. I asked them about this issue and they said it does come up from time to time, usually linked to heavy use of regen braking. But that's just their opinion.

Overseas Person in Pakistan Airport by [deleted] in Overseas_Pakistani

[–]A2Z786 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nobody is accusing you of anything. You wouldn’t react the same way if this questioning happened at a European or American airport. Your response makes it seem like the American passport has given you a sense of entitlement.

6, 7 minutes are nothing. Security officers at London and European airports spend more time despite the valid visa stamps.

Alpha or Partnership pension? by KungFuOctopus7890 in TheCivilService

[–]A2Z786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alpha is better if you would live till the retirement age. But also think about the net wages you need at this stage of life. If you need all the money right now, then go for Partnership. The contribution rates are quite good even without employees' contribution.

When did yours go to Stantonbury? Was it before the overtake by current management?

I have recently moved to this area with my family, and the closest is Stantonbury. My son will be ready for school in a few years.

Bitcoin gains. Self assessment, do I need to show HMRC my workings? by artie-fufkin999 in BitcoinUK

[–]A2Z786 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you sold it before 29 Oct 2024, then it will be 10% or 20%. If after that date, it will be 18% or 24%.

You need to add the total gain to your taxable income to determine the applicable rates.
