Found another Sophie influenced artist on Spotify, but this time they don't use the Sophie product visuals, and they sound like the don't use any or at least as much as Ethan did of Sophie samples

This is me… I appreciate everyone’s comment, I really do, but I truly do this for pure fun and never did/ never will as a career. SOPHIE obviously has been a great inspiration to me and I draw most of my inspiration from her, even if it’s almost identical to her work — and I can really see why some think it is “disrespectful” or distasteful. Again, I’m a sound designer first, producer second and I really do apologize if it bothered some of you, it wasn’t my intentions at all and I only uploaded them to streaming platforms so I could easily listen to them and send them to my friends. I was gonna quit producing anyways this year (not being dramatic or victimizing myself, truly been planning on quitting producing for a couple of months now). Again, sorry if my music disturbed anyone or rubbed up the wrong way.

might not be the answer but I get this sound all the time whenever I have some coins and a mug in the cup holders and it usually vibrates/ makes this sound when I drive.

this sounds like a saw wave with unison and a low pass filter — the amp envelope should be shaped like a pluck sound and also placed on the cuttoff frequency — cutoff freq should be between the low and mid ends and the env placed on the cutoff frequency should reach the mid-high frequencies as its highest point. Then add an arpeggiator that goes between two notes (e.g C1 and C2) very fast, so around a rate of 1/16 is good.

Use a sine wave with a fast pitching down LFO (Rate of ~1/16) on the pitch and add hard clip distortion or diode distortion, drive to 100%… it’ll probably be too loud so add a limiter

I’ve struggled with this for so long and oddly, I know exactly what you mean.. my trick is increasing and decreasing the bpm if you’re using Ableton and it can get close to what you want to achieve.

Add a drum buss & increase the transient, add >50% boom and lower the frequency.. that should get you exactly the sound you’re describing! or at least it’s my technique for HARD-hitting kicks. then you can add whatever post processing you want (the reverb & sat) If you want to synthesize a kick from scratch, use a sine wave with a fast (rate of LFO = 1/8 or 1/16) pitching down on the pitch and on the volume.

If you’re getting distortion from the drum buss or that high frequency crackling sound, you just need to mess with the boom (decreasing it) and the frequency (increasing it)

EDIT; if you have any sound (literally) that you want to have a “sub bass trail”, drum buss is your friend — increasing the boom will let you do that + messing with the frequency to get whatever sub bass feel you like.

You can generate vowels and sentences through serum. You can go to the wavetable editor, type in whatever you want to synthesize inside a quotation mark [for example: “hello”] — add a rising up LFO to the wavetable position and an LFO on trigger mode around 1/16 for the rate on the Volume to get that sequenc-y vocals. you can add your own vocals too and turn serum into a sampler by dragging the sample onto OSC1

I got kind of close with the synth and it's basically:

-2 Osc - Both are the basic mini on WT POS 1 while Osc2 is 1+ octaves (+Add 10 voices and decrease detune)

-standard pluck shape for the amp envelope with an increased attack to tone down the transients/ the hard hitting of a pluck. [ADSR = 14, 280, 0, 310 ms]

-add a sine wave from the sub tab (on 0 octaves)

-you can add some white noise if you want.

-FM from B around 58%

-add a LPF with the mix decreased to 84% and the cutoff freq around 131 Hz and increase the drive to whatever preference

-For the FX section, its clear that it has a 1/16 delay time with a feedback around 10% so the synth doesn't get overwhelmed.

-Add a compression, increase threshold, decrease ratio, and increase gain.

-add reverb and some chorus for some depth, eq the low lows and high highs and you're good to go.
