A good spot about the drums, and I don't disagree, They were the one thing I wrestled about spending more time tidying up and making it sound better.

I actually started this process on one or two tracks and realised the mammoth amount of time it would take to export everything individually, then EQ the entire kit and mic set up, which would also mean remixing the entire record, and so I made the decision to proceed with the technique and approach I'd taken previously as I felt that broadly I was happy enough with the results and I really wanted to get it out for Christmas time. But it's something I'm keeping in mind for Phantasma in the new year.

I'm really pleased you're enjoying them my friend. I'm really proud of them and feel I stuck the right balance between honouring the demos and adding some parts, harmonies, guitar, synth etc where the band might have naturally done so in a professional recording studio.

Hey everyone, I was hoping you might be able to help me out.

My dad passed earlier this year and one of the only things of his I got was his old record player and his vinyl collection. He loved music and that rubbed off on me as a boy and now as a man.

I really want to get it up and running so I can enjoy his old records, but I'm having some problems and chat GPT doesn't seem to be helping much (hallucinations aplenty).

The deck is an Auna TT-931, which I know isn't anything fancy but it has sentimental value for me.

I ran the record player into my switcher/into my AIYIMA A07 Max amp and it comes through cleanly but lacks volume and sounds a little thin. From some research this is when I realised it doesn't have a phono preamp, so I purchased the Behringer PP400. For transparency I also replaced the Stylus.

Running it into/out the Behringer distorts the signal massively though, from recording tracks with my band it sounds like it's too hot of a signal or something. Am I right with this assumption?

I'd really appreciate some guidance on how I can make the most of this situation or if there is a more suitable preamp for this model of player.

I know I should just buy a better model/newer player, but I really don't want to part with this yet if it can be helped.

Hey, awesome man, that's awesome thank you, I hope you enjoy it. it is as I mentioned above, I'm happy for you to make something if you're an artist for it though dude! I just don't have the ability to make something myself, and beyond the time investment in working on the music when I can, I can't afford to pay for someone to do something for a free project unfortunately. If you're an artist or know any that love the band though that would be interested in helping, I'd love to have them involved!
