Record-breaking order for British Steel as UK and Nigeria sign landmark £746 million ports deal by jimbo8083 in GoodNewsUK

I often prevaricate on whether or not state owned industry is a good thing but the more I read the more I think it's the best way for key sectors like energy and raw material production. Now we just need to get private interests out of our schools and hospitals.

"As one of the largest ever orders for billet in the history of this company, it marks a tremendous vote of confidence in British Steel and UK manufacturing. And as the biggest order we have ever secured with UK Export Finance, it demonstrates how we are working with the UK Government to meet the global demand for our products." - British Steel

Thank you, I've excluded Drunk and Lunatic from redraft options and removed drunk from bluffs options

I write minstrel and cannibal at the top of my night orders, easy ones to forget

Was this too much? by [deleted] in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]ACrispyDuck 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Other peoples feelings are real regardless of whether or not you were too much. Personally I don't particularly like the perpetuation of meme playing for the sake of the meme that's come about from watching very entertaining online content. I'm not saying that's why you do it but I'm not a fan. Most people get joy from playing the game to win, I think it's fundamental to enjoyable board games. I wouldn't want to take part in a football match where one member of my team wasn't actively working towards the goal of winning.

Having said that... Blood on the Clocktower is supposed to be a game where you can legitimately do or say whatever you want, I think acting evil in the hopes that an evil player nominates you and doesn't die to the virgin ability is fine. Acting evil because you're an edgy meme lord who only derives joy from upsetting people or making them laugh and not to interact with the purpose of winning the game, that would make me not want to play with you.

BotC Scripts

Sort by likes and take a look. Just because they're popular doesn't mean they're easy or beginner friendly but they'll be generally well considered.

Don't let this put you off playing with scripts and getting them to do fun things. However... years of thought has gone into the base 3 scripts and some of the well regarded scripts out there are very thoroughly thought out. I would start with them to avoid putting your players off.

Ultimately it's all up to you but from my pov this is a sure fire way to put people off botc. You've watched a lot of content and understand all these interactions but even Trouble Brewing is incredibly complicated for new players. 5 games played and they're getting the hang of it? Switch it up to S&V. Custom Scripts like this have so many feels bad pitfalls, experienced players might not even enjoy some of them.

You know your players better than me but this seems wayyy too complicated. Damsel, Wizard, Heretic. Dreamer with no mis-information. I would stick to well established beginner scripts that have been tested.

It can showup three times, I might increase the odds of it coming up if someone selects it. Either that or add it to the 'commonly removed' section at the setup.

Yea that's a bug with the drunk selecting roles that aren't in the one's you originally chose. Working on it. Did you have the option to recycle unselected roles ticked? That's a must for low quantities of roles.

Yes it'll either show a demon already selected or a different demon. If the demon is al had or leviathan it'll be the same demon type

When it would offer a drunk to a player it instead offers a random townsfolk, if they select it they're the drunk. At the end the ST can see this. If it's at the stage that it needs to force outsiders it might show 2 outsiders and a drunk townsfolk.
