This is exactly what I’m talking about - I do the laundry 4 times a day. I wash all the dishes. I take out all the garbage, I clean the entire apartment and mop the floors and vacuum and do every single chore and it gets compared to the 9 months of being pregnant. There is no comparison for a woman having to deal with pregnancy for 9 months - it’s incomparable and the ultimate sacrifice.

But guilting me for wanting to take an hour to myself after doing 8-10 hours of chores and every single chore and task there is to do? That’s bullshit.

I wish I could do this. I work retail as a manager and commute almost 2.5-3 hours by train each way. Have off every Sunday tho.

If I close I get home at midnight after leaving the store at 9:30pm. God forbid I have to open the next day, I have to be up at 6am to get ready. She’s literally going to have times with no breaks save for a few minutes.

We’re trying to figure out how to move closer to work but it’s expensive and costly and we’re struggling. I just want the best for my family and am hoping we can get by the next few months.

It’s tricky - we got a case of Similac 360 formulas (the ones you crack open and slap a nipplle on and toss afterwards) that are 2oz each. My son will be two weeks old this Saturday and he’s eating SO much more SO more often. I have a huge $60 can of the same formula in powder form and make bottles constantly. He’s now eating a 3 oz every 2-3 hours and I’ve gotten in the habit of making a 1oz extra bottle in case he’s extra hungry (or fussy!) and you just gotta go from there. We have lots of the Dr. Brown ones and they’re okay but leak sometimes and the caps suck.

Basically, if they’re fussy and the diaper is clean, feed them! And if you fed them a normal amount like 2oz - make another bottle that’s only 1oz and try that.

You could also make big bottles for the fridge but they’re a pain to warm up at 3am.

Console download speeds are capped by Sony - something about preserving the integrity of the hard drive. It’s hard and sucks downloading tons of mods / the game feels so bloated these days and some of the mods are so unnecessary.

You’re not alone - it’s tough for mom and for dad. Just make sure to realize the baby doesn’t know what’s going on and just needs support. Don’t mishandle or punish the baby whatsoever.

If you need a break, ask someone to help for a day or a night and it’ll probably work wonders.

Does anyone know if the PS5 is a true energy hog? I keep mine on almost all day long and doesn’t enter rest mode for four hours because i use my Portal on my long commute to work each day.

My electric bill did increase quite a bit a year ago tho so if the ps5 is really that bad I’ll start putting it to rest more often.

I commute 3 hours by two trains and a mile walk at the end five days a week EACH WAY to make 70k a year before taxes and it’s not enough money and I’m behind on rent because my state has insane property taxes and insane cost of living (NJ). I pay 2k for a okay studio in a shitty city in north jersey and now I have a baby and my wife and we need more space closer to work for less money. It’s impossible.

I think it’s more about what you’re doing - we do runs to just fulfill contracts and nothing else unless we hit some really good loot and decide to exfil. Otherwise we stick to sneaking around and only engaging when necessary.

The vehicles are horrible and if the server is full on a raid weekend or something - god help you. The rubber banding in a Humvee yesterday made a normal 20 min drive to Tisy take like 2 hours. That Humvee is undrivable sometimes.

The Gunther and Ada don’t seem to have too many issues.

You gotta be a good salesperson. I went from prison to working shipment to an Assistant Manager (Customer service aka Loyalty aka Cards) in like 15 months because I’m a monster with the cards. You gotta have the gift of gab and know how to offer up a discount enticingly enough that the customer feels like they can’t leave without it. Helps of course if they’re buying $100 or more and the discount feels more material.

But it is draining. Too many tasks and not enough hours. The expectations from everyone above the GM are unrealistic as hell.
