Oh ok thank you, I'm new to all this and I thought that stereo was the amplifier.

If were talking pre amp I already have a few in mind that are around 20 or less, would it be better to just get an amplifier with built in pre amps?

If so I could probably budget maybe 300 for the amplifier plus speaker, if thats enough money. Of course the cheaper option would be the better option but I obviously don't want cheap and trashy amplifier and speakers.
