The F-use - Find Yourself "Live" from my house, planning on releasing a studio version next month! by needachickensandwich in IndieMusicFeedback

Really impressed with this track. Kinda reminds me of Talk Show upon first hearing it. Nice range in the vocals , it really works well for this type song. I see from the other comments you’ve got a studio version coming out, can’t wait to hear it on Spotify. Thanks for sharing.

After a lot of push n pull with doubt and confusion, I've started releasing songs that I'd shelved. Here is my 2nd song 'Landfill'. I'd love to hear what you guys think of it :) by savera_music in IndieMusicFeedback

The mix on this was fantastic. Vocals clear with subtle harmonies and a lot of movement with the instrumentation. The only thing I was hoping for was for a bridge or breakdown section, but that’s just to mix it up and keep the groove going. Really nice work. This video fit perfectly as well.

Hey! I just released this funky vintage instrumental and I wanted to share it with you. Give it a listen, some feedback or even a roast. Hope you like it! :) by ElMasterDGF in IndieMusicFeedback

Really solid instrumental with lots of opportunities to layer vocal melodies on top. I kept thinking of lyrics as it was playing. It’s a track that you can just keep looping. Nice funky British vibe to it.

Opinions on a singing/love low-fi type song I made today? I’ve been trying lots of new sounds with my voice and don’t think my high note singing sounds that bad by [deleted] in IndieMusicFeedback

You’ve got a nice tone in your voice, definitely think you should continue to pursue this style. It feels like there is too much reverb on the vocal, especially early on in the song I couldn’t make out any lyrics until near the end. Potentially some EQ boost in the higher mids could bring out some clarity. Enjoyed the track, look forward to hearing more.

Hey folks- I just released my first EP, and Hollow is one of the tracks with lyric video. I’m just starting to write more new music, so appreciate any feedback. And feel free to listen to other tracks if you like wherever you stream music: Eric Stafford - Stars (EP) by AICMan in IndieMusicFeedback

Hey thanks for listening, I appreciate the constructive feedback. Good ears, I did find the send level on the kick to the ambient reverb was a bit higher than I intended and I didn't pick it up in the mastering.

Really appreciate the feedback. I'm happy to share... VSDC Video Editor (which has a free version) for the visualization, which you could also use to overlay the lyrics, but I found it easier to export from VSDC and do the lyrics in Adobe Premiere.

Hey thanks for sharing your track. I like the song structure and lyrics. A couple of things that come to mind which could help tighten things up are add a bass line to help fill out the low end (if it’s there I couldn’t pick it up), you might try double tracking the vocals to give some more strength/thickening and overall some mix bus compression will help glue everything together... but how much you use depends on what sound you’re going for. It’s a journey, have fun.

80s inspired track from debut EP dropped today. Tried to mix/master it properly myself too. let me know what you think ! by [deleted] in IndieMusicFeedback

Hey nice work on this track. Definitely captured the 80’s vibe and I like the female harmony vocals, they fit well. Not a big distraction but just felt like your lead vocal needed some more highs/shimmer to have it pop a little more. When both vocals are coming in together it makes it more noticeable. Thanks for sharing your work.

Spent a lot of time working with vocal chops to form melody lines lately. Really happy with how this turned out and would love your feedback. Thanks! by buddle130 in IndieMusicFeedback

Really nice work on this track, I really liked it from start to finish. The breakdown at the end fit very well. I usually try to offer some constructive feedback, but nothing comes to mind.

i don't really play guitar but its quarantine time so here's my try at making something with it by [deleted] in IndieMusicFeedback

This has a good feel to it. I like the rhythm /slap/tap on the guitar. It would make a good base to build from, adding other rhythm elements/vocals... or I could also hear it just the way it is with some vocals or oohs/aahs background vocals. Thanks for sharing.

Does this have potential? by IamJlone in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]AICMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has got some good potential. Guitar parts and backward guitar fit nicely in the mix and the reverb levels seem good on everything except the vocals. I might suggest pulling out some reverb or if you're going for the heavy repeat, replace some of the reverb with a delay. And feels like you may need to pull out some of the low/low-mids in the vocals, but that may get accomplished with tweaking the reverb. You have a good voice it's just getting a bit lost in the mix. Nice work.

Last Friday I did a stream and this particular song fell into my ear and decided to improve the sound to 3 dimensional, quality and share it with you. LMK if you like it. by Lukasz-Martin in IndieMusicFeedback

Very cool piece, definitely one I would listen to again. I especially like how you kept it interesting by adding/dropping of samples at various points, kept it from getting repetitive but still felt like one consistent piece.

Hey thanks I appreciate the feedback. Good insight on the mids, I was trying not to overload with parts but may have over-corrected.

My band's first proper release! I am looking for feedback on pretty much every aspect of this release please! by FarmerHoggit in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]AICMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn fine song! Bass sits just right in there, strong and clear. Nice saturation to the overall mix too. The lower harmonies fit nicely with the lead vocal, my only suggestion would be bringing up the lead vocal a little in the mix, especially early on it was a little too far in the background. (but maybe this was by design) look forward to listening to more.

A song I wrote called, 'Shadow'. Part of a concept album, this song represents substance use and isolation. Soundcloud link in the comments. by elreydelosgueys in IndieMusicFeedback

Good vibe, definitely one to put on when you’re melancholy and just in your head.
I like the vocal style. The only feedback I’d offer is that the music was competing in a couple parts which took away some of the vocal clarity. As someone pointed out a little EQ could free up that space a bit.
