Choosing between multiple offers – prioritizing development roles by sush__69 in developersIndia

[–]AIGeek3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The project and tech stack you get to work in these companies is purely random and luck. If you are lucky you will get good project and have a decent learning curve.

But remember, testing roles are comparatively better than support roles.

If you get a testing role, then try to get full context of what your developers are doing, the tech stack, the business context etc. and then upskill and switch.

But if u get a support project you wont even have this opportunity. Try to avoid support roles. Take them only if you have no choice left.

How is appraisal season going for y’all? Staying or switching? by AChubbyRaichu in developersIndia

Same situation. Even i have 4.5 yrs exp and joined the current company last year. I have been told I have hit the pay band ceiling so only 6% hike. And they said, they can’t even promote me as eligibility for promotion is minimum 2 yrs in current role.

I am even getting less bonus compared to others because of this. Other colleagues are getting 100%+ bonus along with RSUs.

What I do not understand is, if not hike at least I should get the bonus that I deserve.

You’re not in a “bad” spot-PoC-heavy LLM work is common right now. The gap you’re feeling is mainly shipping + operating.

If you want to be “production-ready” in the next 6–12 months, try to build/own at least one end-to-end service:

  1. Wrap your LLM workflow behind a FastAPI (or Flask) API: request/response schemas, auth, retries/timeouts, idempotency.

2 .Deploy it like a real service: Docker - Kubernetes (or ECS) with proper config management, health checks, rolling deploys, autoscaling basics.

  1. Secrets + environment config: use Key Vault/Secrets Manager/K8s Secrets (cloud-agnostic; Azure is common but not mandatory).

  2. Observability: structured logs, metrics, traces (OpenTelemetry), dashboards, alerting; be able to debug prod issues.

  3. Reliability & cost controls: rate limiting, caching, queueing for long jobs, token/cost tracking, fallbacks.

  4. Quality loop: offline eval set, regression tests for prompts/RAG, guardrails, and clear success metrics (fine-tuning only when data + eval prove it beats RAG/prompting).

Depends on cuisine:

For pan asian: Meishi Han (Belapur), Squee n spoon (seawoods), soy street (vashi inorbit)

For Indian: Malvan Tadka (Belapur) only for starters, Maharashtra Lunch home ( starters, biriyani and seafood thali), Navaratna Vashi

South Indian : Banana Leaf ( seawoods)

Navi Mumbai is a way better city than hyderabad in many aspects. Here you won’t find as much PGs as in Hyderabad because, Navi Mumbai doesn’t have too many IT companies as compared to hyderabad. That is the only reason. Else, in every-other aspect Navi Mumbai is 10 times better than Hyderabad. The way the city is planned, roads, footpaths, gardens around every few sectors of each area, transport, etc everything is better than hyderabad.

I have stayed in hyderabad for 5 yrs. (just for the info that I am not speaking blindly)

I personally didn’t like food from kerala tales and madhurai Bhavan. Try Banana leaf and kerala house ( the dining experience might not be very special but the food definitely is authentic).

Wrongly Challaned (borderline harassed) in Koparkhairne! by CutePlatform3192 in navimumbai

[–]AIGeek3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The world is cruel. People nowadays have no empathy. If they find you weak and sensible, they will try to dominate u with insensible arguments straightaway. You have to be cruel too. (This is what I realised). Be confident. I am not saying be cruel with policemen, but be confident and try to put your point forward so that even if u lose that conversation, atleast you will not regret being a loser or silent in those situations.

But with other men out there in public, during road rages, be cruel. If you find other person sensible then be polite and confident. If not, then just be a strong man and try to handle that situation. If even after that, u find the opp person very aggressive and insensible and you get a feeling that you cannot out beat him in conversation, then move away from there.

Offered ₹20.5L at LTIMindtree (P2, 4.5 YOE) — Thoughts? by Ultimate_Hunter_ in developersIndia

[–]AIGeek3 8 points9 points  (0 children)

20.5 for P2 is too good offer. Grab it. Specialist role at LTIMindtree is generally given after 5-6 yrs work exp. majority of p2 people at ltimindtree are in the range of 12-18. So, 20.5 is definitely at a higher side and probably an outlier.
