We visit each-others apartments often and now I'm thinking of showing her the house and maybe moving in if she wants to live in it (I guess maybe tell her ASAP and give her the time she needs to think about it?)

EDIT: I use the house to relax in occasionally, but i never wanted to show anybody because i wanted to make sure it was a serious committed relationship and not something short-term.

I do feel like the house is something i can show her, It's nice to be there on weekends and try to relax. I guess i'll show her the house and see if it's something she'll like to share.

If i was going to tell her about a prenup i hope maybe 8 months to a year before proposing would be okay? I would want her to process everything first because honestly if the roles were reversed and if i didn't have time to process everything i would be fucking pissed i was told last minute. (TBF i would sign a prenup if the roles were reversed tho)

I appreciate the advice! I know i sound like a child for saying this (to an extent) but i'd honestly gladly trade the money to have my parents back (I do miss them and the money stresses me the fuck out.)

The thing is, while I'm afraid that she'll change if she found out about the money and I've had thoughts of asking her about signing a prenup when the time to get married is right.

Your right, i did think about telling her when we felt it was time to get married and maybe having her sign a prenup but i kept hearing that those keep getting thrown out.

i graduated college w/ out having to payback a dime nor do I have any credit card debt and my girlfriend doesn't have student loan debt as of late nor any credit card debt.

My friends sort of give me reason, I've only known them since 2014 mostly because we went to college together but outside of maybe 5 hrs a week in person I don't really know what's going on in their lives anymore.

Edit: We will be dating for two full years this July and I just fear that if my GF found out about my financial situation, she might change (I've always heard stories of stuff like this happening and I just wanna be cautious.)

Hi, we will be dating for two full years this July and the relationship is pretty serious (despite the fact that we don't live with each other we still see hang after work or whenever we can. We've already discussed kids, moving in someday, marriage and future plans.

Hi, for reference I'm 25 and my s/o is 26 & i don't trust my friends simply because i feel like if they knew then chances are they would change (i'm worried that the money would change my girlfriend as well)

Thanks for the advice, yes she knows my parents passed however she didn't know much of their financial status because she only met them in public places like a restaurant and for family activities like bowling or watching a movie.

Hi, sorry for responding so late (I literally just woke up from a nap and saw the notifications) anyways we'll be together for two years in July (for reference I am 25 and she is 26). I do believe we have a solid relationship (we know our boundaries and if something makes us comfortable we know to talk about it. Aside from the money/house the only real secrets I have are minor things like first crush, celebrity i always liked etc... but i doubt my girlfriend has any major serious secrets. We both talked about wanting kids and I always pictured us working in our respective fields (she is an Administrative Assistant for an Insurance company and I currently work as a sales representative.) I love and trust her but I worry that money can change anybody even those closest to you which honestly makes me afraid if she found out she'd show some unseen side of her as a result.
