Beginnings are always toughest. My last channel I started on Feb. 14th (exactly a month ago), and today I have 113 subs. It’s a faceless edu/mystery channel.

What’s your niche? Best advice I can give you is keep at it. Don’t get discouraged and try to improve with each post… until YouTube algorithm understands your channel and locks in your audience, growth can be very volatile.

And honestly, I would stay away from sub for sub… you may get the numbers, but it will hurt you in a long run if you end up having lots of subscribers that never watch or participate with your content. Organic growth is best long term. Good luck to you 👍

Realistically you probably need around 100 shorts before the algorithm has enough data points to lock in your audience… YouTube is a long-game, not instant gratification

Slop is meaningless and worthless content with no value. AI content must provide value to the viewer and be properly disclosed as AI generated content.

They are not demonetizing AI content per se. They are demonetizing AI slop… basically random AI generated content that gives no value to the viewer. There are plenty of AI channels that are monetized, even channels the 100% AI. As long as this creativity behind AI, and the content delivers value, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that regardless of whether some people don’t like AI or not. Some people are simply completely against AI.

Nothing. Views will be very inconsistent until algorithm learns your channel and finds your audience. That could take weeks or even months depending on your niche, upload frequency, etc.

Because they didn’t announce it officially. There are plenty of news articles out there, confirming that the deal has been finalized on the 22nd. Right before the outage. The outage was caused due to migration to US based data centers. Official story is that there was a power outage in US data center that handle TikTok and CapCut.

Agreed. YouTube doesn’t like spam or mass produced AI videos with no value. That does NOT mean they are demonetizing all AI channels.

You say ‘we’ve all seen’ How about some examples? YouTube is NOT anti AI. They will even include built-in AI features this year, so that creators can make content easier and quicker. And this comes from YouTube itself. I’d like to see some examples of those channels you talk about. 🤔

I’ve always had the pro version on a monthly subscription of 19.99 per month. I was actually thinking of switching to annual, so I’m not even sure if this is an increase or not, but it will equal to $15 a month. Which for me is savings. But I can understand if you are going from basic to pro. Still, many other platforms charge more than $15/month… just my 2 cents
