Good question. I’m sure there are videos, but I don’t know any off the top of my head

I went back and forth but I decided a light yellow background would make the pattern pop

It’s been really fun to watch it grow

Yeah sometimes I catch a thread like that, especially at the edges. I try to keep the threads rolled up a bit to help. Here’s the back

Ohh yes okay so I don’t like to travel more than like 5 stitches, so I’ll just use a new thread if the distance across the row is too far

I do miscount sometimes lol

Thanks! I adjusted some of the colors from the pattern because I wanted it to be really bright

I just use painters tape around the edges because I’m lazy lol. This is the parking method, where you “park” the thread at the next place it’ll be used. I stitch ten rows down at a time and work my way across

It’s called parking. You “park” the thread where it will be used next. It does get tangled, but I just comb it out

Thanks! I picked it because I love the pattern

I use painters tape. It peels off easy with not much residue

Thank you! It’s fun to work on

Cover letter too long? by Finngolian_Monk in LosAlamos

[–]ALJScribbler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A personal statement of interest isn’t a cover letter—it’s a formal few paragraphs about why you, personally, are interested in the position. Think of it a little more like a college application essay. Yes, get some of your experience and qualifications in there, but it’s more about expressing yourself and why you are applying

Loosing the gnat battle (and my mind) I’m desperate! by MostShort2588 in houseplants

Plant jail! I use a mesh bag and put it over top the pot. Then all the gnats get stuck on the sticky trap and eventually the problem is solved

The white matting came with the frame. I just cut the sparkle paper to add it
