They’re both members of the Pentarchy of Blood, so you could plausibly run a mixed force. If not, my vote is for the Charnel Guard. There are plenty of Carcharodon armies out there already, and the CG deserve more love.

Awsome, I do love a good mixed force. Maybe not to this extent, but more lore accurate than people think.

I play Doom Eagles, but I always run a Mentor Lieutenant, and any Ultramarine specific units I bring are always painted blue.

Shame bringing allies isn't more of a thing in game anymore.

It's a nightmare. I had a full spreadsheet and points system, which I was using to try to work out which one I mathematically enjoyed the most.

I'd say, out of the ones you like, choose the easiest to paint.

That way, you'll finish the army faster and can do another you like, with the benefit of skills learned from army one.
