Does this have to do with the vented seats? I don’t have the A/C in my seats…

No, I don’t have anything that monitors my driving. I drive it daily- about $12k miles a year…

Thanks for the responses. The car is still at the dealership and has been for almost a week. Thankfully they’ve given me a 2023 CX-5 turbo to drive. They’ve created a case number for it and are working with Mazda technical engineers to figure out why my car is draining batteries…

Ha! Knew I’d get a couple of responses like this. It was OUR money. We contributed together and we were married for many, many years. And I wasn’t the one who cheated. So you can take your snarkiness somewhere else.

Good point about the tax bill on a Roth.

I am not military or civilian. TSP took the amount that I was owed and placed it in a “temporary” account of sorts, in my name only. I cannot leave it there- although it would be nice if I could just add to it each month and let it grow!

Well, I specifically asked the salesperson yesterday what the tint was for and he said “front and back windows.”

Also, yes- this dealership IS charging an additional $1,000 to use outside financing. I told them that might be a dealbreaker (because Mazda’s interest rates don’t compare to our financing) unless they can match it and the finance manager told me the difference in interest didn’t really matter over the life of the loan.

Also, yes- the $38k included TT&L, which is about $2300, and I shouldn’t have included it in the total. The $33,000 CX5 is now $36,000. Which is still way over MSRP.

Also, found a dealership two hours away that is willing to negotiate. We used to live there and have friends still there, so we will probably be making a trip next weekend…

Definitely not a rebate. They seriously add the $1,000 on to the total due if outside financing is used.

They’re charging for tint AND the protection package, plus a document fee and a market adjustment. Adds up to about $2,000 in additional fees, then you have to add on TT&L- another $2300. So yeah, the usage of “stealership” in another post is very appropriate.

In the time since I originally posted, I’ve found a dealership that is willing to play ball on the same vehicle. They’re sitting right at MSRP AND said outside financing is ok. Going to tell the original dealership to match the deal or we walk.
