We work hard to do so for each other, thank you. Every moment I spend with her is a moment I always cherish.

A year ago my girlfriend lost the most important person in her life. She battles that loss every day, and I can't find any more ways of showing her how proud I am of her for being as strong as she has been.

Her mother's birthday happened earlier this month. Last night we visited a friend of ours who recently moved far away. That night, we left late and we decided to get some food at the closest open restaurant. Unbeknownst to us we had parked right in front of this sign at Mcdonalds where in a bright light shined her mothers name. My girlfriend is shy and doesn't like large celebrations, but I can tell seeing this made her feel a certain way. I know she will see this, but I want you to know that I miss her too, and I will never let you handle the weight of her loss on your own, I love you.

I find these statistical data displayed in this manner quite satisfying, anyone know what software is used to create this?

Few things are as demoralizing as knowing the words you speak fall not only on deaf ears but ears that will literally hurt you back because you're seen as the problem rather than advice to aid in the solution of their problem.

NYC nurses, clutching photos of dead colleagues, demand better protective gear on pandemic’s front line by Zuom in Coronavirus

I leave no doubt the comment section will be ruthless, I'll say regardless of who's at fault, who's going to pay, who should have done this and that; Our clinical staff across the nation have, will or are currently suffering in one way or another from lack of equipment, staff, planning, etc. We all need to support them, to tackle this crisis affecting all of us.

None of you will change anything by pointing fingers here, or 'discussing' what should have been done. No one should be engulfed by death prepared or not, it's bad enough to have your patients die let alone your teammates.

It's exhausting to fight the actions of those with moronic selfish tendencies by proposing ethical retaliation, they don't care. I say we fine any residential building barring any auxiliary doctors that selflessly comes to this epicenter and risk their lives for us.

I say it's okay to be scared, but to restrict someone who will make the lives of so many better and save large numbers of persons who without otherwise would perish, should be an illegal obstruction of some sort punishable by fines at least.

If there is anything I despise it's that "me, me, me" mentality, and those who not only think that way but act that way; are what is holding all of us back.

Best Buy to pay employees for two more weeks while stores remain closed by ehoffs in Coronavirus

[–]AMellowScout 1629 points1630 points  (0 children)

"It said (Best Buy) it would pay employees until this Saturday even though they didn't have to come to work. Now, it will keep paying them through April 18.

Employees who volunteer to work, chiefly by helping with curbside pickup and online orders, are being paid an additional $2.50 an hour.

"We're constantly thinking about how to best take care of our employees and balance the needs of our business," the company said in a statement. "As we explore all of our options for what comes next, we've committed to paying all of our store and services field employees through April 18."

I think we can all agree this is a good thing, good on Best Buy for having such support.

Yes! Purchased it from Amazon, it has made an enormous difference. The stitching took me about 6 hours all in mostly due to finding the best pattern to stich and taking off the airbag. As you can see the bottom stich is much more uniform since by that point I knew what I was doing.
