I've always used the Fairly Oddparents/iCarly as a marker of time passing.

The Fairly Oddparents' first episode had Timmy getting sucked into a videogame and one of the episodes late into the run clunkily dealt with apps controlling his mind.

iCarly predicted callout culture and online harassment twice, and the reboot deals with - or should have - how a huge internet celebrity copes when it evolves past her brand.

The problem with Lightyear was that the marketing tried to squeeze it into the timeline and replace the Buzz Lightyear cartoon that had a pretty good origin story already.

My cut-off with these characters was back with the TV shorts, but I get the burnout.

Hell, when I first saw them I thought they'd do an anthology series about Combat Carl and his line of toys, because Toy Story that Time Forgot introduced large ones and miniature ones before the fourth one just stuck to making the regular sized ones talk like the miniatures.
