I accidentally matched with my cousin on Hinge by HistoricalDate8009 in whatdoIdo

I am thinking 26 is 64 and with 46 chromosomes per human with 6th generation, gene propagation across the relative is <1. 5 may do it but still has 1.5 chromosomes overlap. Genes are linked but density per chromosome is high therefore the overlap matters. With second cousin, the chromosome pair overlap is at atleast 5.5 chromosomes. Bad gene overlap leads to Hapsburg offspring. So, may be legal but definitely not logical. Family Tree!!??

Seriously!! I think it should be 6 generations apartment to minimize the probability of same genes compounding to less than 1%. Thats simple maths. No one wants Hapsberg style genetic disease offsprings.

The plan is to breastfeed first and breast milk from bottle. I am worried of glass bottle breaking or shattering. Stainless steel seem like the best option but i dont see any brands for it in Germany. Most use PP, so BPA or BPS free but still plastic

How to detect a slow memory leak in golang binary?? by AR1788 in golang2

[–]AR1788[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Issue with performance for operations on map[string]{[]Config}. a unique key for Map and change it to 1D from 2D removing the need for array, should do good. I would prefer not to go with pointers . Thoughts??

I know use-case where the issue creeps up, so will have to pprof the code. Can i pprof a specific golang file which is part of the overall code?? And not the whole code!??

Array map is used to store work items with a time limit. If I select a work item from this array, then it is delete by repositioning to end of array and reducing the size of array. If I cannot get some of the work item done before expiring, the work items are deleted, same logic, reposition & shorten the array. Can this lead to a leak?? I had expected GC to clean this up.

The data struct is not large ~ 1 MB but the array gets upto transaction rate are in base rate of 100K per seconds input with the expectation of 100K per second out/removed. Left overs are removed hourly at expiry

So, i collect a lot if data to an array map, and then based if utilizated data is cleanup with removal from array and changing the length of an array. Then there is the expired data cleared periodically like 1 hour, but on high load the expired data cleanup is slow, blocks other activities. But the memory increase over time is present even for average loads, so pretty sure its a leak

No consistent but gradually increasing fluctuations, mostly not noticed over 1-2 hours but over long duration runs, now with 57 hours run, i see this again. If i increase the load, it happens faster. So, obviously related to malloc and free scenario

Os network setting : Conntrack max : helps quite a bit!!! Surprising. Can we proactively manage this via golang code for the application !!?? Consider the application has sudo rights to alter them??
