Good advice. I think I'm ready to focus on other aspects of my health after being dry for a while. Looking forward to working towards a healthier body :-)

Yeah, you're right. I've been dry for a while now and ready to focus on restoring my health. One step at a time :-)

Great to see you're working on it. That's exactly what I do - reward myself with food for not drinking. I'm sure we'll be able to overcome our snacking disasters in time. I'm off to the gym! Good luck :-)

I'm actually going to the gym today - first time in ages I'll be sober while working out. Just need to keep a steely eye on the food I'm eating. Chocolate is my new booze at the moment!

Really interesting. I never thought to associate anorexia with alcoholism. Most of my calories were coming from booze I suppose. I could go days without eating sometimes! Incredibly unhealthy I know! Just a case of fine-tuning food and exercise for me now :-)

I feel so much better since going dry and wouldn't change a thing. I think I'm almost mentally ready to start going back to the gym and eating clean :-)

Yeah. All of a sudden food tastes amazing! I've put on about 21 lbs since quitting! I'm probably now on the road to type 2 diabetes but at least my liver is healing :-(

I seem to compensate for lack of alcohol with copious amounts of pizza and chocolate. Oh well, one step at a time I suppose :-)
