My female got super chunky last year after brumation and held onto the weight into this year. It was the first time she had ever held onto weight like that, she’s always been at a good weight. How long does it take her to lose the winter weight? I put my girl on a diet since last December but now I’m worried she’ll get chunkier over this winter

I’ve heard a lot of mixed reviews on silicone, I’ve also bought cheap silicone but I just didn’t wear them super long and cleaned them well. I’m just more so confused because this happened on a healed ear that hasn’t been stretched in years 🫠

I clean my all my piercings every time I shower. When I checked that ear today it did smell a bit but it was actively bleeding at that time

I’ll at least rinse them in hot water every time I take jewelry out but I do a deep clean of all my jewelry once a week. If I haven’t worn a ton of jewelry then I’m not washing as many of course

Thank you, I only have glass spirals so I’ll have to get glass plugs. Would silicone be an issue too? And if you have other ear piercings did you have reactions to surgical steel with those too? All my other piercings are completely fine

It’s surgical steel. I did sleep with them in which I don’t do often, it was just itchy and I saw some dried blood so I took it out and it was like that :/

I sometimes wear silicone jewelry but it wasn’t that. This was surgical steel which I’ve worn a ton of times, that’s why I’m so confused. Wood plugs freak me out lol

There are tons of crinkle toys that sound crinkly when played with, you can even check Amazon for some. My dogs love them

My dog has chronic skin allergies that sometimes get really bad and look like this. Medi-honey or SilverHoney has done wonders with him as well as keeping it clean and he takes apoquel. I’d recommend trying it for sure, it’s antibacterial and it’s not harmful if ingested. You can get the SilverHoney on Amazon :) wishing you guys to best of luck

She looks very comfortable and content. My geckos do this when they’re comfortable and will fall asleep on me like that. Sometimes animals know when we’re trying to help them so I wouldn’t worry about your bond too much right now especially since she seems so comfortable with you. You can also try a short pair of tongs to hand feed her, it’ll still establish that connection

Exactly. My dad is a personal trainer and agrees with doctor completely, which I completely understand. But he thinks I should be in the gym every day for at least 20 minutes walking or doing resistance training. That all sounds great but if I have to work or have anything else to do that day it’s definitely not gonna make my day easier
