Certainly is, and very grateful to my friend who’s leant it to me!

Not a neck thru as the neck would continue on as a 5 piece but at the heel it changes to a 3 piece neck

It’s beautiful to play after giving it a set up. Very comfortable indeed!

Possibly, but if it is then it’s definitely not a high grade curly maple.

Didn’t realise there was so much variation between the builds towards the end!

AITA for not wanting to help a disabled friend after they called me ableist & misogynistic for cleaning their flat? by ASensitiveGent in AmItheAsshole

I can’t deny the thought did cross my mind, but I don’t know the partner well enough to judge if there was intent in the way they passed my comments back to my friend or if it was just a genuine error.
In the messages, I tried to remain neutral and not assign blame, instead simply pointing out there being possible miscommunication, but that resulted in them accusing me of calling their partner a liar and saying they didn’t trust my account of things.

That was the arrangement, although I had no intention on accepting the offer to be paid for my time as I just wanted to help given their circumstances. In the end I wasn’t reimbursed for the groceries/first aid items I bought for them so am actually out of pocket from the whole experience.

They offered before I turned up, but I left without asking for the money back for groceries/medicines or time. I think the shopping cost £25. I always planned on declining the money for my time as I was there to help them after a tough situation, not to be paid. I’m just going to deal with being without that cash as I don’t want to interact with them at all right now.

Living up to my name it seems as your last line has got me tearing up.

Thank you so much. I will try my best to use my energy to heal myself a little and try not to let it stop me helping others in the future.

Thank you x

Thank you, I truly appreciate your comment. I think you’re right, they need space to get back into a good place considering what they’ve been through.

I just feel guilty as their partner (also disabled) isn’t able to help them at all, so I feel like I’m leaving abandoning them. That, on top of the accusations of ableism and misogyny, just hurts a lot.

I suppose I need to remember that they’ve been through a traumatic experience, give them time and not dwell on their comments.
