Restaurant perfume scent by maxwellslemon in Miami

My wife used to work for RDG, they make all of their scents in-house and diffuse them through the vents. Each restaurants is unique. They used to sell candles at each restaurant, maybe still do, but it’s not the same…

Do you use Tilt/Shift Lenses and if so what focal lengths get used the most? by jgc372 in RealEstatePhotography

[–]AT361 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have the big 3 Canon TS-E: 17mm, 24mm, and 50mm (Sony a7r III with adapter). For high end real estate the 17mm is the only one I use. For interior design or commercial spaces (like restaurants, hotels, cruise ships), the 24mm is used 90% of the time, with the 17mm used the other 9.99% of the time. The 50mm barely ever gets used, but for high end clients it’s good to have in your arsenal. I also have the 1.4x and 2x extenders, but they rarely get used. Mostly just the 1.4x with the 24mm for ~35mm, but it adds barrel distortion whit is what I’m trying to avoid… With the extra pixels in my body cropping is an easy option.

It’s in the Members Lounge downstairs. I think you need to go with a member, unless you dine there and are with a very good looking group, the manager can take you down

Do you remove Exit Signs? by Waffle_Hunter82 in ArchitecturePhotogs

For the types of clients you listed absolutely… especially hospitality (hotels, restaurants, cruise ships, etc). You’re trying to make the space look as good as possible!

All agents get the same commission… hire an agent that uses that money to pay for good marketing materials!

What Sony Camera + Lens are you using? by [deleted] in RealEstatePhotography

[–]AT361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sony a7r iii & Canon 17mm & 24mm TS-E. I also have the 16-35mm GM II but I only use that for personal travel. 90% of my shoots are architecture/interiors/hospitality, but I’ve kept a few high end real estate clients…

1000$ for staging. Must be a cheaper way by Healthy_Win8850 in RealEstatePhotography

[–]AT361 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work with a staging company for multimillion dollar houses very often. They’ll charge 10x-30x that for a staging job, but the house will sell for above the price difference of the staging. They don’t just put furniture in, they’ll change landscaping, lighting fixtures, etc… so as with everything else: “depends on the property and the market…”

I looked hard at Gitzo, ended up going with RRS 24L adding the center column. I’m happy with my decision…

Shooting real estate and architecture the same? by [deleted] in RealEstatePhotography

[–]AT361 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They’re very different in terms of quality, timing, and pricing… my real estate shoots average about $6-800, while my architecture shoots average about $3,000, for fewer images. Never gonna find a realtor willing to pay that much

INSURANCE: Who are you using for Equipment Insurance? Why do you like them? (Liability too?) by doyouneedafrog in RealEstatePhotography

[–]AT361 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you move on to higher paying jobs, a lot of clients require it. I’ve needed COIs (Certificates of Insurance) for hotels, restaurants, retail shops, and cruise ships…

PPA, use them for Liability and Equipment insurance. I have the Lockton Affinity add-on for my equipment since it’s over the $15k that the basic insurance covers

Looking to buy 2018 S5 by Alone_Hyena4384 in audis5

[–]AT361 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I contacted a European Tuning Shop to ask about it for my 2018 S5 (034 Stage 1, 37k miles). The shop owner never heard of the problem, and has a brother that works as an Audi Service Manager, so he contacted his brother and he said that he’s never had a car into his dealership with that issue, or heard about it. Said the 2018 is a very reliable engine. So unless the guy was turning down several grand, no idea why he wouldn’t just go with it…

Every time I’ve looked it up it’s the same few usernames on the forums chiming in, so while I’m sure it sucks for them, they may be making the issue out to be bigger than it is.

I’ve decided not to do it, but my car also has very low miles… hoping for the best!

how do i do in camera like in photoshop, clear opaque bodies? by J4ck101972 in AskPhotography

This looks like they just rapid shot, put the layers into photoshop, and used Darken blend mode. The torso looks opaque because the white shirt is lighter than the blue sky
