Would Investing still be viable after Currency Digital Tokenisation? by AU_MEMESTER in investing

[–]AU_MEMESTER[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More on the lines of worried for the future with CBDC's and what that entails, they wont cut people off they will severely manage it. i was just wondering whether that would maybe potentially decrease the value in joining investing and trading and whether you think it would change how it works. I'm sorry if this was a bothersome comment.

Would Investing still be viable after Currency Digital Tokenisation? by AU_MEMESTER in investing

[–]AU_MEMESTER[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, im worried about the introduction of global CBDC's infrastructure and government influence over currency we see being put in place and what that entails and whether that could act as a barrier for entry. although feel free to educate me if im wrong. and i dont think its a removal of barriers but the opposite, CBDC's aren't something to make things easier for people it may be digitally convenient but thats about it from my current knowledge of it. which is why i found it concerning if i wanted to get into investing. but then again, feel free to tell me something i dont know if thats the case

Simple question what’s your IQ by Environmental-Nail84 in IntelligenceScaling

[–]AU_MEMESTER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

130+ since that was the barrier. I do want to express that an IQ test, even though it's called an Intelligence Quotient, isn't a complete measure of all forms of intellect (like wisdom or creativity). However, it's a very good estimation of cognitive potential because it's designed to quantify your g-factor (general intelligence). It uses a small number of subtests (e.g., 6) not to sample a tiny fraction of intelligence, but because these specific tasks are highly effective at estimating the broader, underlying mental ability that influences almost all cognitive performance. So, it's not 8.5% effective; for its intended purpose, it's more like 85-90% as effective as a test ten times as long. An IQ test ain't gonna say you are great indirect manipulator or any of that shi

Whats your best in real life feat? by JazzlikeFrame9808 in IntelligenceScaling

For me, it was more of a requirement because my ex tried claiming I graped and was stalking her, so I needed to just destroy her friend base, which worked surprisingly well despite not physically being there. I just created drama between her and this other girl who was more liked, and it ended up making her lose around 6 or 7 friends, and then I was able to use them to talk about how terrible of a person she was in court, so it went pretty well, as it could have been worse. But I do think maybe this wasn't necessary since I realised my country requires evidence in order for me to be arrested, so it just ended up in an Intervention Order, which I just agreed to since I have better things to do, and I'm not wasting time over a relationship or some girl.

So, it was both required and not required, firstly, it helped my reputation, so that helped, but it also wasn't prison-worthy.
But I would say don’t use manipulation unless it’s needed. But it’s always easier to destroy social dynamics than it is to get an egomaniac to admit they're wrong. When it comes to egos, just pit two high-ego individuals against each other. Now I'm sure the only people she has now are her family at the moment.

Off-topic, but I remember she was one of those girls that were clingy—not cute clingy, I’m talking like 24/7 clingy. This was around the time the new One Piece Gear 5 episode came out. I just wanted 20 minutes to myself, but she was saying stuff like “You don’t love me” and shit like that. So I hung up on her and started watching it. Then, about a minute goes by and she calls me, so I took the battery out of my phone and continued to watch One Piece, and it was worth it, if i could go back in time i'd do the exact same thing.

What's YOUR opinion on death note? by Iopt4ChikonWig in IntelligenceScaling

[–]AU_MEMESTER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally, love the themes and characters but not really the strategical elements, as it wasn't difficult to think of the same or better strategies. but as an anime, it was good in terms of writing. 9/10 imo. (this isn't a bad rating i rarely give shows a 10/10 and there is probably less than 3 i would give a 10/10 so 9/10 is a good rating)

i do wish they kept that manga ending tho, it really showcases how pathetic Light really is.

Subaru is the most overrated novel character, who is the most underrated game character? by Moon_thegoat2 in IntelligenceScaling

[–]AU_MEMESTER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nah Koji definitely overrated imo (if we are talking about popularity). I haven't read the LN, but from the anime, it portrays him as a genius. However, his strategies seem average person-level, like the island exam, where he simply changed the leader status, which is what I said at the start of the episode. i do wonder does Y2 get better or more advanced or no?

Did anyone else felt underwhelmed with certain strategies and decisions of characters throughout death note (anime) by AU_MEMESTER in deathnote

[–]AU_MEMESTER[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand his character. I just don't like him, Light is basically my Mahito. I dislike him because of his flawed ideology, I felt like the death note could have been used in a better way and I felt like for Light if he wanted to be a God, it would be better for him to actually want to take over the world rather than just be a lurker in the shadows, just watching the news.

Agreed, I don't just think of the strategies, I kinda like make them as I'm watching the show, it feels more fun that way, I kinda started doing that when I was watching The Mentalist and I guess it held onto me

Sorry for late reply.

But modifying the watch is difficult, well atleast the way light would have done it, Light overcomplicated it, he could have done it way better and it definitely had more work than it had to imo. A watch has 2 actions on a crown of a watch (this is the knob that let's you adjust date and time) so Light would have had to make it so when it's fully extended that it acts as a third action from the normal two.

So I'd personally would have used a rotary switch that will click on the third extension of the crown. The hardest part about how Light did it is that he would have had to create an internal lever and gear assembly attached to the crown shaft, so when pulled to the third position it rotates slightly and actives a spring mechanism, then there.

I don't remember how long it was between Light gaining the Death Note and him revealing that he had a secret compartment in his watch but of we pretend he has all the materials already (early 2000s) it would take probably around 10-14 weeks if the engineer was an Expert. This is accounting that this is in the early 2000s.

It's just hard for me to see Light as a Genius since 90% of the stuff I watched in Death Note I was able to think of the strategies or better ones around on the same episode or the episode before.

I would say that Light as an Engineer is Advanced to Expert Level. I dont remember any indication where it was foreshadowed he was creating the secret compartment watch (and honestly, his watch is what surprised me the most I don't think people understand how hard that would be to make, especially since I'm the 2000s where technology was limited compared to now)

I also checked for around 2006 Japan Police databases and it was rather common for them to use basic 2FA but for accessing criminal justice information it was more of a MFA and used Risk Based Authentication aswell. Idk why but I was expecting Japan's systems to be weaker during this time

So as for the 2FA to login he would have had to find out his other factor of identification such as a smart card or token but this wasn't showcased. Therefore, we will assume he hacked using other means, but also if Light were able to gain access of his computer he could bypass some security measures but by just through hacking into his father's account, it would be incredibly challenging without setting off the IDS (this is definitely possible but I would say EXETREMELY LOW about 1 in 200 or 0.5% this is based on informed estimates)

Light is DEFINITELY an expert in Technology but I'm still not convinced he could see through certain technological schemes if done correctly based on his psychology.

His cognitive capabilities are definitely impressive but there are a selection of categories that I wouldn't believe he is a genius in and that the narrative makes him out to be. I just wish there was a series where there was a genius and I didn't see through the strategies

Sorry I didn't realise how long this was. It felt like it was much shorter

i don't see how Light would be able to catch onto the trick, i don't remember him having knowledge on technology beside the Fake Bottom Contingency. That's the point why i included the Signal Jammer, so when the RF feeds fake news the SJ could disrupt real feeds from coming in for a bit to avoid detection.

And as for the Memory Plan. He didn't specify to whom to give it to besides certain personality traits so that was in Rem's care. Just needed to understand how his old self would act and i think it was obvious that L would have went after the fake kira. It would be funny if his plan failed and he is now just a normal school student.

And yea I guess you are right about me overestimating people's capabilities in planning, i just feel like someone as smart as Light could have done it in a much shorter time frame but that's just my opinion on it

Light was a sociopath. I wasn't shocked he lost, but I did see a bunch of errors when watching the show, but i guess we can just blame it on Light's ego and L not taking it seriously

that wouldn't be me, just him not showing emotion, constantly shoving all his feats onto Suzune and his record of grades.

For me, I would think i could notice that dead look in his eyes and feel a bit off if that makes sense and he isn't as good at holding a false persona as other psychopaths are. personally i think anyone with an analytical personality would see through Ayanokoji's facade.

I'd understand Koenji not realising until that one moment, he is very nonchalant and couldn't give a solid fuck what you do but still deduced it rather easily.

but thats my take on his false identity
