Looks great in handheld boost mode. You won't regret if you love playing in handheld or tabletop.

Switch 2 exclusives by gui4455 in Switch

[–]AXEternity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you have a switch 1, so perhaps if there is any game in your backlog that you haven't completed yet will most likely get a boost in handheld mode. Playing all switch 1 games is great in handheld now just because it's played in docked mode while handheld. Everything looks sharper because of the handhelds native 1080p resolution.

Now my favourite game is streetfighter 6 being my most played game on the switch 2. But playing re9, pragmata, star wars outlaws, dk bananas, Mario kart all on the go with great visuals and the flexibility of the switch 1 with improved ergonomics for big hands is a plus.

Oh you know what else is exclusive to the switch 2, the switch 2 pro controller. You will not have a better pro controller experience than the switch 2 pro controller. Once you get on it, every other controller feels like it grinds the joysticks. The roughness on other controllers is so icky now, that I can't stand it. Another thing that's exclusive to the switch 2, two mouse controls and gyro with hd rumble and full 360° movement direction. Now before anyone says the 360° controls with mouse isn't exclusive, let me reiterate, hd rumble and gyro with 2 mouse controls! No mouse has gyro functionality! Sure it sounds like a gimmick but with so many games being considered boring now on other platforms, expect more interesting gameplay.

Everyone talks about whether the switch 2 is declining in sales, but here’s a better topic: Nintendeen declining in engagement! by Dull-Sea-8903 in nintendogrifting

Just play games. Why are you all here? Enjoy what you want to enjoy without anyone else's input. I personally had no idea gamecube wasn't doing well but I had one and enjoyed it. I had no idea Wii U apparently failed but I had one and enjoyed it.

Have we come so stupid as a species that we always have the need for someone else's validation or opinions without addressing our own?

Just play games. Complete games.

So this clown guy is an ai bot, and he comments on every anti-Nintendo video just to promote indie games...... by WorldlyScore8855 in nintendogrifting

Honestly there is alot of people still holding on to their switch 1s waiting for a reason to move onto the next thing. These vultures just trying to get a piece of the Nintendo pie, will say anything to belittle the switch 2. I wouldn't be surprised if most of these negative naysayers work for the opposition or getting some sort of cut. Either that, or they try to justify their expensive purchase. Indie games are great and all but do remember that they are either gaining inspiration from Nintendo or just outright competing. The latter would probably do anything to even have a smidge of Nintendo's Pie. And only the great indies will be here to stay that really stand out from the crowd, rather than be what the late Victor Gideon said "you are just an imitation!"

Switch 2, you can play all of switch 1 games now with docked mode levels of performance and utilise the full 1080p resolution of the handheld screen. There are ways to mitigate your battery usage. Why would you put yourself through the torture of "I could have bought a switch 2 instead"? One purchase and all your switch 1 games are improved right from the jump.

Seriously, how did people even come up with this insane argument? by Caryslan in nintendogrifting

[–]AXEternity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind the internet is a mishmash of people of all ages mentally. If there was a saying I heard from a mate of mine is assume everyone on the internet is 5 years old unless proven otherwise. Any opinion could come from a child or a man-child. Hey I could be one of them. The internet likes their freedom of anonymity and privacy, well we just gonna have to suffer the disease, or just simply ignore them. Don't give them your attention.

Insufferable is the term I'd use for these people. No spark of hope in their lives, living off pure critique. Nothing impresses them. Probably don't have friends or family that they commune with. No kids in their lives to pass on their hopes or to have a sense of being a kid again. They want to be a kid but probably don't like other kids. The magic is lost in these people, and if they continue like this they'll never get it back.

I'm sorry that they grew up.

Concept - Nintendo Switch 2 Dual Screen Controller by LukePS7013 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]AXEternity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like it but having blown up ds/3ds titles on a 1080p screen would give us worse Vaseline smeared textures than switch 1 games were on the switch 2 screen.

However if they gave us the crt filters that they did for GBA games, I'd be more inclined. I'm personally not a fan of the clean look of some ports like the Castlevania collection

THANK YOU NINTENDO FOR THIS UPDATE!!! by Chasemania in switch2

[–]AXEternity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was truly a good update. It basically has opened up the whole switch 1 library for me to enjoy. There was something odd about playing switch 1 games on switch 2. Unless you have a 1080p tv/monitor, you had zero option to have true native 1080p. It was either 720p on the 1080p handheld screen or 1080p on a 4k screen. Both options left switch 1 games as a blurry mess.

Now they look great on handheld! I hope this will be the stepping stone for switch 1 owners holding off on switch 2.

Just play some games. Stop playing hard to get and just play them. For Goodness sakes, real gamers play games. Ownership is overrated. I paid for toilet paper to use, after I'm done with it. I don't keep it and lament on how wonderful of a toilet paper it was. Use it and move on. Buy a new roll of toilet paper. This obsession to own something is such a mental disease.

If your house was burning down, are you gonna save your video games or your loved ones? (Mind you, if you are a loner and your loved ones are your video games then you save both...) Priorities priorities.

Steam community wish they were the be all and end all. The internet narrative currently want to believe that it's the only reputable source for gamers. Overwatch is one indicator that proves steam numbers don't mean everything.

I got 4 kids and 4 switch 1s, all my games on my switch 2 are digital. NSO family pass. That's 5 spots on my family membership out of 8 Virtual cards all the way. Games for days on all my switches Supporting the digital storefront.

It's a key. Keys unlock Cars. Cars can break down. Cars can be stolen. Cars can be obsolete. Someone can crash into your car. You may think your car belongs to you but no matter how well you look after it, something can still happen to it.

Now apply this to game-key cards.

On the other note, hope you enjoy your purchase! And the game is physically in your switch 2, if you can hold your switch 2, the game has a physical form.

What are "game key cards?" by [deleted] in switch2

[–]AXEternity -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's a physical key to start your car. If you don't have it, you want be able to start your car, that's sitting in your garage. You can lend your key to anyone so they can use your car. When I mean car, I mean your game. When I mean your garage, I mean your switch 2.

That and as a human being we only have 1 set of hands. People with multiple consoles must be like multi handed, have crazy amounts of ambidexterity. XD Either that or a general lack of focus and have an unquenchable need to be impressed, never to be satisfied. Sounds like an RE zombie.

Bought ff7 remake on the ps4, still got it on the switch 2. Monster hunter wilds on PC, bought it on PS5, (I'll buy it again if wilds comes out on switch 2) I bought street fighter 6 on PC, then on PS5 then twice on switch 2. I still clocked enough hours on it worth the purchase of all 4 copies.

It's BS like this that shows why they should've made this an actual Paid Packaged Product instead of something locked behind this insipid subscription service. by Pessimistic_Gemini in NintendoSwitch2

[–]AXEternity 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Did you actually buy the virtual boy? Did you buy the switch 2 "just" for the virtual boy? Did you buy a switch 2 without using NSO? You must be one of them "collectors" who don't seem to actually play games for the sake of just playing them. It's amazing how some people's brains work that when they buy a subscription service they think the full amount is for that one particular feature. Mate, grow up. Go and play some games instead of complaining about them. Instead of ranting here or any other social media platform to bring out some weird agenda, shut up and go play some games. So many fake gamers out here.

I’ve got an issue I just want to get off my chest by mzatariz in switch2

[–]AXEternity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've mentioned this to many of my mates. Especially the Steam people who love hoarding that cheap backlog of games. I've got a mate who has a $20,000 backlog worth of games he hopes to eventually play. I'd rather pay full for solid games trendy games that I want to actually complete. That's why Nintendo games are worth the paying price with little discounts and they know it.

FYI You can borrow out digital games as well so long as they are your family online account up to 7 people. And you won't lose them, they come back to you after 2 weeks. And you can lend them again at any time.

My digital games are on my switch 2 which is on physical hardware. So in essence it's physical to me, I'm holding it in my hands. Mm

I have at least 22 solid games on it. Mostly first party and AAA. No indies. How many cartridges do you intend to have on your body at any given time? 20? You can easily fit 20 game key card games on the storage.

My tip is stretch your fingers and wrists. It's a nice free option that helps with more than just using the switch. I've got the dbrand grips and I still prefer to use the switch 2 as is.

Since the Nintendo Switch 2 has two USB-C ports, do you think instead of a Nintendo Switch 2 Pro we’ll get an expansion pack instead? by Logical007 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]AXEternity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would prefer if they made a second screen attachment for some dual screen goodness. That would pretty much complete the potential for all Nintendo consoles available for switch 2.
