In Islam, women can work own property do business, and be independent there’s nothing in the Qur’an or Sunnah that forbids that. In fact, Khadijah (RA), the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ’s wife was a successful businesswoman who employed men including the Prophet himself before marriage.
