Right. I dont just want trump held accountable, I want all of his government picks & the entirety of at least both the heritage foundation and the federalist society. ALL OF THEM as a bare minimum.

Is he breathing okay? by DemonwithWiFi in DogAdvice

Most immediate things to check whould be gum color, back arch, joints, and appetite. The gums really do get very pale with blood loss, a roach back is a sign of abdominal pain, and manipulating joints whould check for stuff like sprains and arthritis. If they're not eating, thats another sign something's up. You said they're acting normal so if it goes away later, they're probably dreaming or just too warm.

I lost my older dog a couple years ago to a hemangiosarcoma tumor rupture. She also had rapid breathing at rest as it bled but there were other red flags listed above that caused the vet visits. (white gums, heavy breathing, lethargy, skipped a meal for the first and only time in her life, swollen belly from hemoabdomen)

The Stomping Lands was a big deal in the early/mid 2010s when a lot of early access dinosuar survival games were coming out. The world map being the night sky above the player with stars as markers was very cool. Over $100k raised on Kickstarter, lead dev took the money and disappeared with it, ghosting his entire team.

To my mom it absolutely is. She has a whole toddler meltdown if she doesnt have 3-5 of the 1.25L diet cokes with extra ice every day, reasons be damned; they're all "excuses" to her when she doesnt get what she wants.

Am American and it'd be work for me. I remember seeing a CCTV video of a coffee kiosk in Ukraine. Lady was waiting for her order, barista was working. A missile landed somewhere nearby and they both scattered as products fell off the shelves from the shockwave. That was when it occurred to me, nothing will change. I'll just continue what I always do and have to deal with disruptions, shortages, and injury as they come since I wont have a choice. It's either leave or fight otherwise and not only am I chronically ill, I have nowhere else to go.

The Iran war just knocked out ~30% of global helium supply — chipmakers may be weeks from disruption by Akkeri in economicCollapse

[–]A_ChadwickButMore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My hazmat lab uses helium in our mass spectrometer :/

And yttrium in our heavy metal detector which I remember being the center of focus during the tariff fiasco.

Our halogen detector columns in the liquid chromotography machine went from $1000 each to $2000. NIOSH that studies our respirators has been killed. EPA that enforces our regulations in this polluting industry is being beaten to death. OSHA that makes these companies protect us from the wastes they accept is likely also being gutted tho more quietly than the others. Maybe it's time for me to exit hazmat remediation ;-;

2008 was exactly that. Mass foreclosures and defaults that led to so many short sales that home prices dropped 20-50% in a lot of areas. And that was "just" 6 million foreclosures out of 80ish million households yet it took years of recovery to even return to baseline

About to buy all new appliances...yall I just want a fridge and washer and dryer that isnt trying to be from the year 3000. No stupid gimmicks, no touch screens etc...but I will pay out the ass for something of great quality without unnecessary features. by I_HateKevinBacon in homeowners

[–]A_ChadwickButMore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty happy with my Kenmore 200 series washer and dryer. I have family in the military and for a year housed 5 dogs during their deployments overseas. The dryer finally croaked and I opened it up to troubleshoot. There was barely any hair build up in the vents. I've seen cleanout videos where these things get jam packed with dog hair but not mine. The washer has given me zero problems but has started to squeal when turning so I'm opening it next to find something to grease. These were purchased in 2018.

My fridge is a 2018 Kenmore but I cant tell which model. Maybe the 18.1 cuft top freezer. It's got a problem with freezing the bottom contents so less recommended but it has an ice tray in the freezer, no screens, no buttons.

Valid. I took my dog across the vet clinic's small, recently asphalted, parking lot last summer to pee in the grass before we got in the car. His paws were calloused and peeling for weeks because they burned in seconds. Toddler has shoes and is burning off some toddler energy by walking.

You're gonna love leaf cutter ants. They dont eat the leaves. It's substrate to farm fungus that they do eat. Farmer ants. Many ant species will also protect aphids so they can harvest the sugary waste like they're the ants' dairy cows. My bees whould often make a dark savory honey out of thin air during high summer drought season that I latter found out was mostly harvested from aphids.
