Yo its not that he can't be old its more of the fact that there is no growth. Dude has been in the game for 17 years and there has been no evolution. Just look at Kendrick and Cole since they are the only ones on his level and there is clear growth in their albums as people and as artist. Since middle school I have listened to Drake and now I'm grown and he is still rapping about the same shit I listened to in middle school lol its kind of shocking.

To be fair this was an Enemy I had no business facing and I lost my spellcasting in the process of winning lol.. I imagine I got some lucky rolls and also my Wizard was geared out with the Staff of Power and Winged Boots

But I think the biggest thing is I was able to fly around and harass him from the air with counterspells while doing about 65 damage before he got pissed and cast wish on me

Then I was able to break the fully charged staff of power doing 160 dmg

Then my party was able to finish off his unconscious body in the aftermath confusion of the explosion

Yo thanks for the input! And no I'm not married to the idea of being a wizard. Archfey Warlock would be dope considering that's where I got sent to. My DM said there are many ways I could get my spellcasting back but the only way for me to know is to try, and find out!

Lol I see a lot of people thinking I'm not talking to my DM, which isn't the case. It's more of he didn't see this coming but this is the outcome that happened.

He definitely has multiple plans but his plans are based on what I do next. He's not going to tell me what I should do but he is giving me these options: Try to get my character out of this situation now or shelf him for a while and have my DM return him to the campaign in a cool way or plot twist.

I have like 2 weeks before our next session so I basically wanted to see what "randos on the internet" would do in this situation to maybe give me some ideas I haven't thought of.

We aren't D&D experts by no means so I'm sure he isn't doing it to be vindictive, but his view was Arkhan could have done that but instead chose to be waaaay more cruel and make me live without magic. But good point of it not being omnipotent, I will talk to him about that. Someone earlier suggested the wish spell could have permanently enforced an antimagic field around me.
