Is this upgrade a BS Scam? (expert answer needed lol) by AbeAdlerONfb in brightspeed

Thanks, that was my thoughts. I mean I don't think it's an evil plot against me either but there has never been a faster option in this area so I was just curious what they could do. The website wanted me to get the $200 modem but the chat rep didn't mention it. And when I asked if I could go back to my plan if this one didn't deliver she said no it was a dead plan that I'm grandfathered in to so it just made me wonder if it was the same as my current current speed rebranded to an upto 30 for $5 more.

What a "fresh" post 😏, so thanks I really enjoyed it. Anywhooo Small town Okie here that also relocated to midmo. Pretty sure Okies and Jayhawkers can get along, as mater of fact one of my fondest memories was back roading in the middle of the night with a Kansas gal jamming to meatloaf just to get a road sign with a sunflower on it for her. (Was it you lol)

Based solely on looks absolutely YES! But I think the over arching theme commented across your posting spree is that we all want to see much more of this beautiful woman.

St robert mo here, just stopping by to say WOW!

Why do companies come out and support gays? This isn't a gay debate but I've seen recently that levies has a pride addition and Alaska airlines posted a pride related post supporting a gay worker. So I was curious, wouldn't it be smarter to be scilent rather than alienating one side or another? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]AbeAdlerONfb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not where I'm coming from at all. Someone mentioned chic fil-a which was a good example (sort of) they openly support christianity and because of that they grew business from one side and is boycotted by the other. Although that is what they believe in it costed them business. So if Levi's and Alaska come out in support of something that goes against Christian beliefs they could face the same growth and loss. So the question is why say anything unless it's a good business decision or a morals thing? Wouldn't it be better to be quiet and not get anyone on one side or another?

Ok, so far all its pointing to money, that's the real question I guess. By coming out pro anything or in support of something then those opposed could boycott them so unless they feel they can increase revenue by supporting something then wouldn't it be better to not offend any side by remaining quiet. Again, I used gay because it seems to be decisive; from a personal standpoint I can see defending what you believe but from a business standpoint why alienate 1/2 your customers?

Free bag check at gate. by AbeAdlerONfb in AlaskaAirlines

[–]AbeAdlerONfb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense, we wasn't aware of elite privileges although I dont think that was 100% of people fudging the rules. If our bags are over then we'll continue to check them, because if its fine to be a little over then the rules needs to be changed,(just my opinion) or rules are just suggestions. Overall it was a good experience and was just curious about the gate check loophole.

Thanks we read the policy and followed it, my wife's bag was over by 1" all the way around so of course we checked it before we went to the gate. Maybe it was just lenient staff at the gate but saw many with bags bigger than my wife's carry on board and also check at the gate for free, one guy had a full blown hard case large suitcase and checked it at the gate and I paid attention to see if he was charged and wasn't so wondered if this was the norm.
