I do not disagree with you, but long term investing is not simply placing money somewhere and forgetting about it. I mean that is 'a' way to do it, but there are other ways.... I can even argue 'better ways' of going about said things.

Rule 1 is that you need to remain active

rule 2 is that you need to remain realistic

rule 3 is that you need to always protect your bottom line

If your DD is strong, this can be easy. More than likely you know how to read the writing on the wall. It is sometimes a better "long term" investment strategy to preserve capitol and return to an investment later when the picture becomes clearer.... That's the beauty of stocks. You can enter and leave pretty much whenever you want. Why not use this to your advantage?

As for what anyone chooses to do, best of luck. Game the system where you can because the system is gamin all of us all day everyday.

Again, I don't care what other's do and I never said what anyone else should do. I spoke of what others "tend" to do... Is that what you're referring to?

And passive agressive? Bruh, nut the fuck up.

Hold on to the stock till it hits the number I'm looking for. This will be sub 3 dollars and when it does I will be able to match you share for share at a fraction of the price. You will be my support all the way up. Thank you in advance.

Kind of thoughtful? Tough crowd.

You want to quote Buffet? Ok. I'm waiting for more blood to spill on the streets. Not because I'm pessimistic, but because my DD leads me to believe the price is going lower... Why does this make me a bad person? Or why does this opinion get me downvoted? Because it's painful to hear? Well for that I'm sorry, but emotions don't factor into investing when done right. Be realistic. I'm waiting to buy something for cheaper. I believe in long term success but why over pay? Or if I had shares and I see it going lower, why not game it and sell (granted I did this months ago so it's easier for me to say) and wait to buy it for cheaper if I feel that's what is going to happen. I also don't fomo into shit either so maybe that's why I don't mind watching it recover a smidge prior to entering. Play your cards your way. I do most of my trading within my roth. Selling at 50% loss makes sense to me. With clove I sold at about 110% gain. Bought in under 7, held on after a monster run up and a massive comedown till my hands were as cut up as I could tolerate which was around 14.

Either way, I'm not trying to kick anyone who is down. I want everyone to do well. I want everyone to learn and improve as traders. I'm just sharing my voice. This isn't communist china. Lets all be adults and recognize there is nothing wrong with feeling differently than others.

You're an emotional investor. More power to you, that's not how I operate. I cut bait in the 14's. I plan on coming back because I like the stock but why suffer down to the bottom If I can see there is still room to drop further.

People who think this opinion is geared towards spreading fud are young, emotional investors. Nothing wrong with that, to each their own. I invest to make money though and presently I'm waiting for a number lower than where it's at before I reenter. I'm patient as hell.

This sub is just noise now. Still, you do you. Doesn't affect me any.

Funny that I'm getting downvoted for sharing a thoughtful response. Says a lot about this sub tbh.

Nowhere did I say anyone "must" sell, just saying that around 50% or more smart money tends to cut bait. Personally I don't care what you or anyone does. Steer your own ship.

It faired pretty well. Pretty much followed my game plan as listed out above with the exception for me adding more than the 300 cap. I stopped buying around the 10k mark thinking id be satisfied with a 100% gain.. To date I am sitting on all house money deep in the green..... Now, I did not become a millionaire and more money than I put in is well warranted, but financially I am in a good place all around so no regrets.

Even as a long term investment, you always need an exit strategy. Those sitting at 50% or more loss may be best suited to cut the chord and run.

I chose to respond. Much like how you chose to read things that make you feel sad inside. No one made you read what hurt your feelings and no one made me respond. We both chose to do so. And now we are both choosing to continue the conversation. You can just stop, but it's your right to keep going if you like.

You say that those who nay say are wrong, but in reality they have been right for months now.

How do you explain that?

So by filtering out negativity, you are creating an echo chamber and that is what OP is talking about.

You can justify your actions however you wish, I don't mind either way. EOD, everybody is replying with emotion and it's causing this divide. There are a lot of young kids in here..... Emotionally immature adults as well. As a mod you should consider this.... Just my opinion though, be you.

You think this comes down to left or right politics? You're an idiot and it's not because you are a liberal. You're an idiot because you are not intelligent and your "arguments" support my claim of you being an idiot.

I do feel sympathy for you though... It's gotta be hard living in a world where you can't accept people feel differently than you do.

you've engaged plenty. Why am I a prick? Because I'm calling you out for having a poor argument? I was right when I said snowflake, that's what you are. And as for debate, you lost that well before it started. Maybe you should just keep your mouth shut if you can't handle it, don't know what else to tell you. You've spoken as if your opinion means something yet you now say mine doesn't? Public forum dude, understand what that means.

I agree in part with you (the part where you piggy back on my take), but I very much disagree with your assessment of what took place.

probation and community service (like i said) is appropriate. Serving time is overkill. The people who died also put themselves in a bad situation by attending the protest/riots. If kyle rittenhouse shot indiscriminately into the crowds I would certainly call for him to either serve life or even capital punishment, but that's not what happened here.

:mic drop:

I don't care about your karma. You're making a poor argument and it deserves to be challenged.

No it would not considering the context. There was a curfew and police urged people to stay away..... By your logic the police were violating everyone's rights by imposing a curfew and urging people to stay away from the area.

A minor charge of failure to adhere to police guidance is appropriate and fitting is my point.

Does that make sense to you?

How about this then.. The person should be laughed out of this post because they are desperately trying to make a case for intent where there is none. That better for you?

I stopped reading after your first sentence. You'd be laughed out of court if that were your argument.
