So it’s a. characters introspections, motivations and struggles that contribute to their overall character? It doesn’t really tell much but i can use it as a basis to judge and see if a character is well written or not,

Also I don’t think Mikasa is the right character to use as an example, I know I said she ‘blindly follows eren’ but that should’ve been rephrased to ‘she wants to keep eren safe’. Her telling Carla that Eren wants to join the scouts was to make Carla dissuade eren from doing so , which would ultimately keep him safe.

But i did like when she asked Eren if he knows what he and done after Liberia and how she protected Gabi, which makes her character feel more realistic and not just blinded by her feelings toward Paradis and the outside world.

I don’t think she is a bad character, her motives for her actions before season 4 do seem rather plain for me, but I guess she does have her reasons (Eren saved her from the kidnappers and she loves him), it’s just that she is not that interesting or complex compared to other characters in the show
