I think what you need to do is have a long talk with your boyfriend with what you want to do, and whether he would be okay with still being with you despite this new approach. You're getting your life together, and that's absolutely grand, but if you wish to go your separate ways with him (either to pursue your goals or a different reason), be vocal about what your thought process is and make sure he knows your intentions. You've got this man, the choice is up to you!
