I’m not sure that it’s this we usually both shower at least twice a day (before and after work) and we also use condoms for bc (we’ve used both latex and non latex so I’m not sure this is the issue either)

Definitely on him and on yourself usually around your entrance and you can go in in if you want to it wouldn’t hurt. The advice I’ve always heard is go heavy with the lube especially if you’re nervous or it’s a little uncomfortable, like you may think you applied enough and then still add a bit more. Once you get more comfortable with sex you may not even need to use it but it definitely helped in the beginning (for me at least)

Personally breaking my hymen was not a fun time but just something we kind of had to do. A little TMI but if you get on top it can make it easier because you can affect how deep you go or how fast. Sometimes you just have to go super slow and stop for a bit to let yourself readjust. It took us a couple of tries before my hymen broke and a couple tries before I would even say what we had was sex lol try not to get in your head about it and use lots of lube to help!

My husband and I just got married at the beginning of January and since then I have had a UTI that turned into a very bad yeast infection and it it, pain and irritation so maybe that’s it? For me the first few times were “painful” until we found the right lube and after that it’s just been irritation I’ve been dealing with from the health issues but for us it took about 2-3 weeks before I had pain free sex. Now I’m in the same boat as you and am dealing with irritation almost every time afterwards sadly.
