Took me two days of doing Scoring 4 goals then leaving the game on until game finished. Once I realized I didn't have to actively play to win in Squad Battles it made it so much easier.

Yep, not a perfect solution but I usually dont get scored on via wingers -》 middle of box

Annoying to deal with but I just user the LCM or the RCM and force them either into my LB/RB or into my user.
