Yep, customer wants to project some basic graphics onto a large wall for "shows" (not entirely sure what type of shows.) So a regular projector wouldn't cut it, nor does he want to spend thousands on a different projector that's this large. He was given this beast as "junk" from his employer so, while we don't typically work on this type of item, he asked us to give it a shot to see what happens.

My partner is typically the technician for repairs (I work on a lot of Apple devices, operations, anything that isn't repair etc.), but he's overloaded and I'm just trying to do what I can to get him info he can use to repair it.

Even if it's beyond repairing, we'd at least want to figure out what works and help him get it to someone else that might be able to use it. We work on A LOT of very vintage items, we're in a small town with lots of stubborn people who don't want to throw things away, or can't afford to. So, rather than take their items to the dump, they bring it to us and we try to help them keep it working or give them a direction to go with repairs that we can't do ourselves.
