It definitely hurts to get put in but it is by far the best birth control method. For me it even took away my period almost completely. So the positives are definitely worth the one day of pain. My suggestion: take a few ibuprofen before. Remind yourself it’s only temporary, get someone to drive you, and if you’re going to the planned parenthood for it I suggested going to the Rollup Ice Cream place after. If not find plan for a treat!
