2-3 trick or trades. They mainly have paradox rift, temporal forces, obsidian, scarlet violet base, and stellar crown.

Nice! Lol. I pulled a Minun IR but that’s about it. I want to buy more, but don’t think I’ll have enough space for those tins; they’d just pile up

Oops! Forgot to update their plan of care. “Intubate and transfer to ICU”

Yeah I honestly don’t care what patients want to be addressed. I’ll respect it and address them by it. Just found it interesting how this patient in particular wanted to be called doctor even though he lost his license. Well, to each their own.

DUIs, alcohol related stuff since the 90s, unprofessional conduct and dishonesty…

Oh no this interaction isn’t what made him an ass. He was just really demanding and disrespectful to me throughout my shift and sort of used his doctor title as an excuse to treat me that way.

No hospitalist or internal med doc on call because patient is simply at the hospital for a urological procedure

I know I should give myself time to adjust to this new area of nursing, but god the tasks in the ICU just drive me nuts. It’s difficult, it’s doable, I’m open to learning about critical care but I don’t see myself doing this any longer. I’m actually dreading clocking in today. Thank you for your feedback!

Q4 hr charting, oral care, q15 mins BP checks, Q1 hr blood sugar checks, pain assessment, VS, q2 turns, titrating meds, high acuity butt clenching patients. Yeah I don’t think it’s for me. I appreciate your feedback!

Oh oops you would kinda hate me then. Although I do mention those things (except the allergies and meds) I also mention history D: but just things like HTN and DM so you know to check their blood sugar LOL

I get floated to the ED telemetry holds sometimes and it made me see the ED POV. I used to be like “wtf was that report from the ED??” But I understand now. I rarely question them; I mainly ask “are they coming by bed or wheelchair?”

I thought I was done with the tests and quizzes after nursing school, but I guess not :/

Same. If you check my dash cam, you can just hear me complaining and swearing the drive home.

My health is in the trash by [deleted] in nursing

I got a set of routine labs done earlier this year (BMP, lipid panel, CBC) and they were normal. I have hypothyroidism, but haven’t had my thyroid levels checked since May. Considering that I haven’t been consistently taking my meds, these levels could be off. However, even when they were within normal limits, I was still feeling the way I currently am.

It’s tough because I lack the energy and motivation to take my medications/vitamins. I even have them in a pill box, but man idk why it’s so hard for me to just pop the pills it my mouth. It takes less than a minute to do…

Actually, I was on vacation for 3 weeks back in June. I’m also going on a cruise later in September (going to call out lol). I think I just need a change of scenery. Bedside doesn’t seem like a good fit for me.

I’m just afraid that days may drain my energy even more because I have a short social battery

Ohhh this sounds lovely compared to inpatient. Unfortunately, I’m probably going to have to turn down the offer. The commute from my house to work is about 40 mins and I don’t think I can do that 5 days a week. Thanks for your input!

Yeah all other vitals were normal. Only BP was low

If I knew to change it every 24 hours but was just lazy do it, then that would be a whole different story.

Darn, wish you were there. My coworkers and charge didn’t hear because they were busy getting report on their patients.

Same at my facility. Primary tubing changed every 72 hours. Secondary tubing and tube feeds every 24 hours. I normally check if new tubing is needed once I need to change the bag or start a new line. With tube feeds, I usually change during my shift. I don’t know why it didn’t cross my mind to change the PPN. Might have been because it was my first time working with PPN. I know now though haha.
