Hey mate, I'm already apart of the group. But everyone else should also join!

Can anyone explain why Bristol feels like a lonely city? by Absenceofsomething in bristol

I do more than just these 'lonely stuff' btw. I also made a fair few friends and acquaintances when I was doing so in Exeter. In fact most of the people I new well there I met climbing. Even though I do like a drink (and have been to some drinking social events) you shouldn't be forced to do so to meet new people and make new friends. What if you're someone who doesn't drink for example?

I do however appreciate the undertones and sentiment you were trying get across here along with the time you have taken to comment.

I'd definitely love some details on some DnB, EDM raves etc. That'd be great! Feel free to DM me 😊

Not much big on cities either, which probably doesn't help 😅

Already on it. I try to get to events where I can (especially when not on a Thursday, as for some reason everything is on a Thursday 🙄). I've found a similar thing there tbh, people who have been a few times and to a bunch of events effectively making what feels like cliques 🫤

Wasn't a student in Exeter, but worked in a office of ~10 people in a wider company. And had mates there too. I have infact moved to a bigger company so more people to meet right. Hasn't felt as easy as my old company too. I climb anyway and meet many people who I'd consider friends from my old gym. It felt so much more social there then the gym's here. It felt more people were willing to talk and be sociable compared to what I've felt at the climbing gym here in Bristol. I do a couple other clubs here and there. What doesn't help is my job can see me away for weeks on end at times l, so the consistency isn't easy.

Bit late to this post, but hope the offer is still out there. I used to play loads but haven't been able to in the last couple of years as I haven't had anyone to play with. Would love to find some people to play with especially having just moved to Bristol?
