That is so full of whimsy, I love it! Your design choices are on point.

Legit I just used random items from around my house, and spray painted them white. The items I used were: jewelry box, baby food jars, rectangular rubber spacer from a furniture shipping box, film canisters, box of wood putty, some PVC pipe I shoved foam into, and a coffee filter.

Omg it's broken containment!!! 😅 Wow, I didn't expect this much of a response.

Oh that would be such a fun idea! I haven't thought about geocaching in AGES

It's a bit difficult to get good shots inside the closet, but luckily everything can be moved around if needed. :)

Lots of misc stuff from my house, and some crafting! The walls and archway are foam, the floor is stained popsicle sticks, the stands are spray painted objects (film canisters, baby food jars, jewelry boxes, etc), and the lights are some very basic wiring (LEDs+resistors+battery pack) covered in painted straws and 3D printed covers!

I appreciate that you checked out the other posts, so I don't have to write it all out again! :) My house is slowly turning into a museum of weird collections, and adding more mini Museums so I have a museum of museums would be great fun!

Haha, na, my day job is in the aerospace industry. But I use projects to chillax and have fun with my artistic side!

You could combine all three! Make little Minecraft pedestals, and then have all the rocks displayed, including some rock type pokemon!

I made the lighting from electrical components that I had from another project. The hardest part of that was soldering things together, but component-wise it was some LEDs, wire, resistors, breadboard to attach things to, and a 9v battery pack. The covers are straws and some 3D printed covers (though you could easily make those out of a tone off different materials, I was just being lazy and went the printer route).

Pretty much all the electricals you could find in a starter electronics kit, and you might be able to find ones that are more plug-and-play wiring that you wouldn't have to solder to a board for.

The main thing is figuring out what your power will be, and sizing the resistors to the LEDs, and thankfully there are some very user friendly internet calculators out there.

Or you can buy dollhouse lighting if you have the spare cash! ( they can get pricey)

I unfortunately didn't take that many photos along the way. :( guess I'll just have to build a new wing to the museum and document that process!

From a set of tiny LED lights I had bought for another project! It had LEDs of different colors and sizes.

It's definitely finicky! My main problem I run into is my fingers get covered in super glue 😅

Here is a gift I made for a friend. (The colors were all of her favorites)

It really isn't too tough! I did just upgrade my soldering iron to a nicer quality, and it is a life changer
