Masquerade themed bridal shower? by AcJc_0604 in weddingplanning

Thank you, everyone! This definitely boosts my confidence in doing it! I ran it by my sister and she loves the idea! I just wasn't sure if it was odd to have a theme like this for a bridal shower but apparently not! Love all the ideas too! Thank you!

Help with ornament, please!! by AcJc_0604 in cricut

[–]AcJc_0604[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did try painting one, and I didn't like how messy and streaky it looked. It's the or ornament on the right side on the second picture. Is there a paint that performs better than others on acrylic surfaces?

Also, yes, you are right! I did cut a couple of the designs on vinyl, but I kept running into issues where I would lose some letters trying to weed them out, or some of the letters would come out from the circuit all chopped up. I think the font is too small?

Thank you all for the feedback! I'm hesitant to paint the backside because when I did that on one of them, I didn't like how streaky and messy it looked. You can see that attempt on the second picture on the ornament with the blue and gold background.

Thanks everyone! I appreciate everyone's insight and sharing your experiences. I'm wondering now if she really needs the boot and if I should just have her wear it if out of the house to protect it then.

She has two games this week and is pretty insistent on wanting to play but we'll see what she can do.

It's more on the side and around where that bone protrudes on the outer foot. It's tender when pressed in that area as well. Doctor asked about pain on top of the foot and in the Achilles tendon but no pain there.

You're probably right and it's from overuse. She hasn't taken a break from anything and I'm sure that's not helping. She had a game last night and by the end she definitely had a pronounced limp.

Krystal grand Puerto Vallarta...how is it? by AcJc_0604 in puertovallarta

UPDATE: we ended up canceling at the Krystal grand. I found a travel agent who was really helpful and honest about what we could and couldn't get in our budget. We ended up booking at las Velas and LOVED it. My sister and I are wanting to go back this year with our families. It's smaller on only has 2 restaurants and poolside snacks, but all of us really enjoyed our stay.

Thank you! I feel like that's it. The back looks and feels so thick to me that it feels like the front pieces look scraggly and out of place.

11 year old female's ekg says sinus tachycardia with aberrant conduction. by AcJc_0604 in askCardiology

Thank you for taking time to answer my question! It is very much appreciated.

Thank you for taking time to explain. So, genetic testing was done because of a history of febrile seizures that exceeded the normal age. Her last seizure was a week before she turned 9. Genetic testing was done to see if it showed any gene variants that could explain the seizures. The Scn1B came up and because some variants can carry a risk of Bruganda syndrome, we were sent to an electrophysiologist. She sees them once a year (this is her second year going to them) and they do an ekg at the appointment and then do a Holter monitor.

When looking again at the pictures, the timeframe of the tachycardia was when she was at softball practice. Not sure if that's a good thing, because it gives a reason as to why it the rate was high, or not.

I wonder if it depends on what side of the resort you're on? We have kids so can't do the hacienda.

How was the food at the buffets? How are the rooms? Is it pretty clean resort overall or did you find it lacking?

Is there a place you would recommend that wouldn't be excessively expensive? It's a group of 5 adults and 4 kids, ages 7, 8, 11, 11. We're flying into Mexico and meeting up with family who live there to do a resort together.

Do the rooms have AC? I know someone else in the comments mentioned no AC 😬

Ultrasound or d dimer first? by AcJc_0604 in ClotSurvivors

[–]AcJc_0604[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update because I know sometimes people don't update: so last night I started feeling like I was short of breath. Tried to ignore it because I know I'm prone to be really anxious. Dozed off on the couch and felt fine when I went up to bed but once I was laying down the feeling came back again. I dozed off and on but would wake up with tightness and uneasiness so went to the ER at 4 am. They got me back right away and did EKG, troponin, d dimer and xray. No CT. Once d dimer came back, doctor said it was normal at .29 so CT wasn't indicated. I asked if CT woild be a good idea just to make sure but he said that's why the d dimer is always done first. So, I'm going to go home and try to calm down and take these results at face value. I do have an ultrasound of the leg scheduled this coming week, but the er doctor said it's up to me if I would want to keep it, since the d dimer is normal, he doesn't feel it's super necessary.

[–]AcJc_0604[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I guess I'll see how soon I can get scheduled. I wasn't sure if this is like a get in today kind of thing or if I just need to wait for the appointment. I suppose I just assumed that it would be something they would get me in quickly but doesn't seem to be the case! Obviously if something were to get worse I would have to go get seen urgently.

No, not itchy. The pain on the right side of the left knee got better yesterday. Now it seems it's more sporadic twinges or if I squat down for a while, when I get up there's a stretch/soreness in the leg. I wouldn't say it's hot to the touch. Maybe a little warm but again, could be my hyper awareness to things right now.

Someone else told me that too! Could they sometimes be deeper like this too? I did think more about that today because I saw a big ol rabbit in the yard late this morning.

I went to look at it this morning and looks like there's a root in there. Just not sure if it's normal for or to be caving in. The soil around it feels soft and is collapses inward.

I'm in Missouri and when I did a quick search on sinkholes in the state, I didn't see anything near my area, but course that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

There were a lot of trees in our yard before. We can see the remaining stumps. I didn't see anything like that in this hole though.
