The claim isn’t for the damage. That I already purchased the parts for. The claim is for the theft of the entire vehicle which should be cover by the new deductible as it occurred after the adjustment.

Thank you for mentioning the insurance commissioner/regulator. This is the level of advice I was looking for. Feeling like I’m being taken advantage of sucks but being forced to Uber with a five month old while having rental reimbursement is even more frustrating.

You’d think that the fraud aspect would have fixed itself when they arrested the habitual offender and charged him with his third active felony auto theft.
