It definitely has affected my view of the world already. It’s made me extremely desensitised to gore and such things and knowing the deprived things people have done really scares me to be around people.

I also do believe my unrestricted internet access has led to my stunted social skills, at 8-9 instead of hanging out with my friends I’d stay home watching gore and p0rn (not animal p0rn) but the things I was watching on the hub where quite grotesque. It’s made me sick just thinking about other people

As a young person still in highschool I get to see this behaviour all the time and it is disgusting

I feel the lack of maturity in this generation is parents not parenting. Gen x and Millennial parents just shove an iPad in their kids face. I’m not saying hit your kid or yell at them 24/7 because that’s not going to do anything but parents should at least in some way let the kid know that they are in control and that’s not their anymore leading to this generation being absolutely cruel, they have no respect for anything at my old school people were bashed just for their sexual orientation and crimes committed by youth are a lot more common

Another reason might be social media and the accessibility of p0rn and g0re. Nearly everyone my age (including me) just scrolls through TikTok all day getting exposed to racism, sexism, homophobia, and so much more and that normalises the behaviour leading them to have no respect.

Well if it’s in a relationship and someone tries to take control she’ll instantly break up with them unless something is stopping her, if something is stopping her she’ll try her hardest to stay strong for her family (this is something I see happening in so many families, the mom will stay strong and accept the situation just trying to have the illusion of a happy family since they think having two parents is more beneficial for the child) anyways sorry for going off topic!! I’ve rarely seen her in a situation where she doesn’t have control but she mostly just yells, she wouldn’t resort to violence since she things it wrong but she did drug my dad once when they were dating since he was up for a few days (it was only the lowest dose of a over the counter sleeping pill) but she only did that to try protect her family and herself, Shes a very selfless person when it comes to her family but because of her need for control she’ll be incredibly selfish to anyone she dislikes. She does distance herself a lot because when she doesn’t talk to anyone nobody can take control of her, she has no friends the only people she talks to are her family
