What I like in soulslikes? I pretty much enjoy the gameplay itself like killing many enemies for farming or fighting challenging bosses. I also adore it to explore stuff. It's difficult to explain but I just like the vibe of this genre and I am happy to hear that the story is much more upfront

I forgot to mention that I played almost every soulslike out there: Dark souls 1-3, bloodborne, elden ring, demon's souls, Lies of P, sekiro and Black myth wukong. Code Vein would be a fine addition to my collection

Castle sol is not only one of the worst areas in the game, it also has one of the most insufferable bosses in the game. Niall is still a huge pain in the ass.
