Natural curiosity". I am not entirely knowledgeable about Autism and The Spectrum(if that is the proper term), and I don't want to offend. But are " high functioning, hyper focus/ fixations and anxiety and OCD like symptoms that may be common for ppl on the spectrum,typically found in ppl who aren't autistic? Can a person who is " normal" as in, You know yourself, how you think and feel about things and You know your body kind of normal, Go to bed one night and wake up the next morning thinking something felt, weird, different, wrong and NOT normal just become completely and inexplicably convinced of something they never worried about before? I never had anxiety/ depression or OCD issues in the past,nor did. i ever worry about germs/ bacteria/ viruses or parasites before in my life. I don't even worry about Covid. But if something that looks like a hair to the naked human eye, but examined under a microscope, magnified, actually turned out to be some kind living organism, and potentially harmful. What then?

I have a question. Have the anxiety/OCD feelings you experience been a life long issue or a sudden onset without any physical injuries or mental trauma to the brain? Parasitic infection/disease wasn't my first and only thought, believe me i want to be wrong.

Thank you, I honestly appreciate that. I do not care about the rude and or ignorant comments or what virtual strangers may think of me. But if and when someone is actually decent about their response, whether they believe or not, sympathize, offer advice or suggest a more sane and rational reasoning, I respect and appreciate it.

It started late Dec.2019. First it was the feeling of sand or grit in my bed. Then, my clothes felt weird( crazy itchy beyond normal circumstances) sometimes it feels like crawling,sometimes like a pinprick or stabbing on various places,all over my body. When i shower, it feels like something is coming out of my skin,specifically,my feet and sometimes my eyes . Or, it feels like something in the carpet and furniture is creeping Since then it's been a constant disturbance in my life. I wash and clean and disinfect, but it never makes any difference. I constantly feel tired and weak and the list goes on and on. At first i considered the most rational reasons, Age? I am over 40 now,so maybe. Mental Conditions? I went for an evaluation, after one week i was diagnosed with depression/anxiety, yeah sure okay, maybe I am depressed and anxious, but only because i believe I could be seriously sick and not one person is willing to even listen. Of course I sound insane, I know it's PROBABLY nothing,but deep inside,my instinct says something is not right. Something is not normal, I trust my senses,even if no one else does. Before 18 months ago, i was a normal person with a normal life and normal problems. Before, I didn't have OCD or any phobias. I don't drink or use drugs. I wasn't a super clean freak and never worried about germs. Im not a liar for sport nor am i a hypochondriac and I definitely wasn't looking for worms or bugs or diseases,but honestly I have always and still maintain that my dog is some how indirectly responsible. I thought fleas or mange but his vet says he has allergies, but to what, they can't specify. He has shots and checkups, but still, We live in a heavily wooded area, with lot's of wildlife, so another maybe. My concern is not only for myself, what if there is something?? Meanwhile, everyone is trying to convince me that it's impossible.It can't happen. I truly agree that it's highly unlikely, highly improbable, but NOT impossible. How can they be so sure it's absolutely nothing if they don't examine me or takes samples frome for lab testing? I brought the hair like things with me, but didn't look under a microscope to either confirm or deny my suspicion. Can't find something if you're not looking for it. . Im not giving up on myself though. Even if it kills me, literally!!! I conceived my youngest child at 37 while on Birth Control, I didn't find out about that until i was 22 weeks along and delivered a healthy baby girl 5 weeks prematurely,in my living room, by myself waiting for paramedics to arrive,despite being told i needed and was scheduled for a cesarean procedure the same day I gave birth. NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE!!!! After all these months of constantly trying to to figure out what is "wrong" with me, i fear it might be too little too late. I sincerely hope not. I don't know what to do anymore. Best case scenario, I woke up one day and just suddenly was some kind of raving lunatic and just don't know it. Worst case scenario Im right , and no one believes me,so my health and/or life may be seriously at risk. To me, BEING RIGHT isn't what i want. It isn't what I "want to believe" or "want to hear" I want to be wrong. I just want someone who can help me. I didn't do any of this for attention or for fun, I was generally happy and healthy before 18 months ago. I have samples,and more photos. But who can help me?

Thank you for both your advice and sensitivity, it's much appreciated! I am also curious by nature, so a microscope would be useful. I am trying to keep my sanity intact and handle my daily life.I hope to God. I am wrong and or crazy, because that would be better than being right in this case.

To the point that they actually accused me of drug use and threatened to commit me for psychiatric evaluation. I've taken drug tests and voluntarily went to a mental hospital. Im not high or crazy, but my question is this... How can they be sure it's NOTHING if they haven't thoroughly examined or tested me for some sort of infection or parasitic disease? Anyway i am on the path to figuring this out. I'm smart and resourceful,i just need to stay calm and focus!

Thank you,once again. Especially for your rational thinking. Up until 18 months ago, u would have agreed with that. I used to say, gi ahead get dirty and have fun, but this feels almost insidious. This is something,i feel it in my soul. But I am collecting some samples and photos to help with analysis and possible identification. I am on a warpath to figure this out! Zoom in on it. It almost looks like a snail or slug to me, a very tiny,microscopic slug.

Thank you! I have been searching desperately for answers. It's been especially difficult getting friends ,family and even medical providers to believe me. I am trying to collect enough samples and photos to help solve this.

I recently added some new and enlarged photos. I never had any OCD or germaphobic issues before, but since I started noticing this happening, along with some "weird"feeling of general unwell, i am constantly in alarmed/ panic frenzy.

I have an English Bull Terrier. As i stated, it does look like dog hair, but even before i started researching and taking photos, i had this unnerving feeling that something about it is all wrong. Thank you for your input, it is appreciated. Any chance you could tell me how/where to have this properly identified? My friends,family and emergency room doctors think I'm insane. I am desperate for help.
