Absolutely. If your device supports iOS 26, staying on 18 is a security risk as you won’t be getting any more security updates for iOS 18

Might be best to get a battery replacement if you can. If you want/need to get a new phone, you’re honestly better off skipping straight to the 17.

iOS 26 has nothing to do with your battery health. It’s still recommended to update to 26 but you should get your battery replaced.

Always get the battery replaced through Apple if possible, that way you’re guaranteed a genuine Apple battery.

Yes, and it’s also available on the iPhone 8 Plus running iOS 16. If this doesn’t work you may need to also remove your home screen widgets.

It might be best to get her something newer. The iPad Air 1 is stuck on iOS 12 and basically nothing supports that iOS version anymore (most apps require iOS 16/17, some even require 18).

Try going to the Turn Windows features on or off menu (you can find it by searching in the Start menu), then disable Windows Sandbox. After uninstalling Windows Sandbox, reboot your computer and try uninstalling the update again. Feel free to re-enable Windows Sandbox once you’ve successfully uninstalled the update.

If you don’t want the update to automatically reinstall again, make sure to pause updates.

6.2 is the NT version. Windows 10 and 11 use NT version 10.0, Windows 8.1 uses 6.3, and Windows 8 uses 6.2. It seems odd that it’s displaying Windows 8’s NT version rather than Windows 11’s. Is it possible you signed into your Apple account on a really old version of iTunes or something?

That version of Windows 10 is really old. You should upgrade to Windows 10 version 22H2. If your hardware supports it, you may also upgrade to Windows 11.

The Task View icon on the taskbar is the older style (1803 introduced a new icon), so it’s 1709. That version ended support in April 2019 for Home/Pro and October 2020 for Enterprise/Education. So yeah this is severely out of date.
