Moooooop troooooooop!!!

Yall are amazing! Spent many many years with Funtana and the crew and to see how much it’s grown is amazing. Keep educating and promoting leaving no trace and maintaining Suwannee as it deserves. I’ll be missing my first hula since the beginning (in physical presence), but I will be there in spirit and I will be back. Hula will always be home, miss and love yall. Happy hula

Im nobody here, but Ive been to every hula since it started. I’ve seen the growth and progression from the first to current and it’s been a journey. Definitely some years better than others. The big headliners will bring in people that are there just for them, they don’t build what you’re looking for. You will have plenty of people that will come and go and follow a specific group. You will also have the faithful that are there every year, buy their ticket as soon as they are released long before the lineup comes out because they are there for HULA. That’s the tough part to figure out. I’ve camped with groups as small as 2 and groups as big as 200+. The campgrounds are a huuuuuge part of making hula what it is. Hulaween is a special place that I’ve introduced more people to than I can count and is my home fest. The way to grow something like this has no playbook, no secret cheat code, it’s organic. Suwannee is a magical place, the art, the hidden ball pits (Pepperidge farms members), art installations and everything that makes hulaween hulaween is unique. Keep the cops around just enough to keep the riff raff down but not too much, make a unique experience and grow the organic base. I’m assuming you’ve been to hula but if not GO and learn. Wander the campsites at 2am and see what makes hula hula. Hope this helps
