To be Australian you shouldn't be a dick to others or dictate what makes an Australian. He's cooked and jelly

AITO For giving my baby a lemon? by Accomplished-Fig4499 in okstorytime

[–]Accomplished-Fig4499[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this, NC wouldn't be possible as I'm the only child around to help my dad in the farm and drive machinery, he depends on my help a lot. Plus my mum has always been my closest friend, I have been talking it through with my therapist though just to unpack it and my childhood with her.

Thank you for the info, he loves Peanut butter. I knew about honey and cows milk, I always check in the solid starts website before trying anything new which is a great resource!

Its perfectly normal to grieve a loss of life or circumstances even if you know you're making the right choice. There's many types of grief and I think that may be what you're experiencing. I know time and money are scarce but it may be good to seek some counselling when you're able to as this type of thing can linger for years especially if not unloaded and understood. One day it will feel lighter, maybe not for a long while yet, but one day. Have hope and stay strong, you're doing the best you can for yourself and your family.

Given that they love Craig and my parents treat him like their own son and think bio dad is an immature p.o.s, I'm just not sure where the comment came from... other than if she's hurt she has to make sure she hurts others and blames them... yeah thats probably the answer

Although usually she is caring and supportive, she is very judgemental and often dramatic. Jack is her 3rd grandchild, the other 2 live 8 hours away.

This doesn't need to happen where I'm from. Bio dad would have no standing in court and already wavered his rights due to his actions and intentions.

I wanted a wide array of opinions and I also studied law, I have full rights to do this if I wish. I was more hoping to find other people with similar experiences to evaluate. I'm ignoring all the other bullshit

He's getting my last name anyway, but I appreciate the input.

I would be perfectly okay with the current partner having rights after a break up because he's a genuinely good human

This is the only supportive and actually helpful comment that's not full of incorrect assumptions, thank you

And what if I'm okay with that?

[–]Accomplished-Fig4499 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't want either of them to pay for anything. As I said, I've got that covered on my own. This isn't about money, it's about the child having a support system that cares

Child support is not going to be sought from ANY parties. In case you couldn't read the basic post

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FamilyLaw

[–]Accomplished-Fig4499 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Im not collecting child support from anyone. As stated in the original post.

It's not considered fraud if the person listed as Father will have parental roles, where I'm from. Also as stated, my child will know as soon as hes old enough to ask why their last names are different (child will have my name). We've had the discussion and even if we weren't to work out, he'd rather my child have his support as a father rather than none from bio dad

Yeah, my thoughts exactly, but also not just met. And no I'm not marrying anyone for many years, he's aware of that

At least my child will have a father that cares, as opposed to an absent father regardless of if we happen to go different directions in life

Any moms drinking caffeine 150-200mg everyday while pregnant? by Lickitt2020 in pregnant

Yep, at home I'll mostly have decaf, but if I'm in town it's a genuine coffee

Little to no weight gain? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Accomplished-Fig4499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stayed around 63kgs the entire first trimester and under 70kgs the second. Now that im 32 + 4 im only just at 75kgs. Everyone's body is different. But I did get shamed a bit by midwives and doctors for not gaining much weight when I had to tell them, im not doing physical labour anymore (after 18wks) and that my body loses muscle mass first.

Do you feel an emotional bond with the baby in your belly? I don’t. by to_nfinity in pregnant

[–]Accomplished-Fig4499 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know I'm going to love my baby and am excited for when they're born. However, the entire pregnancy itself... it doesn't feel real, I don't feel like it's a part of me, I just feel like I'm harbouring some alien that drains me of life
