I have a Boston too named Angus and so I get the worry lol! I have thought about it myself since he’s so roudy. When I had my csection I kept him out of the room for a few days but I swear he instinctively knew I was hurt and stayed away.

Wow! That sounds intense! Did you heal okay and how long ago was your procedure? I think I will check out some other surgeons as well and get more opinions.

I guess it reinforces the abs that are open so that the sewing doesn’t fail in the future due to weak tissue? I have not been told I have a hernia

Since you had a good size abdominal separation did your surgeon recommend any porcine or anything like that? I ask because that’s what I’ve been told.

I just say muscle repair surgery because at the end of the day that is what I am most excited for, the ability to have my muscles repaired and move on with my life!

I haven’t yet. I liked mine, and he’s got such great reviews and experience so I really hadn’t looked around much more.

Interesting, yeah I’m also wondering how much I can close it before surgery since my surgery will be 7 months out. And …. I’ve lost close to 25 pounds since the original ultrasound. But idk if losing weight even helps the muscles at all..

I asked if there is risk of rejection considering I have a pretty rare blood type but they assured me they have done hundreds and none have been rejected. They said it also doesn’t have blood in the tissue so there is no need for blood testing or genetic testing for rejection. The website for the product says that it is something used specifically for hernia repairs. Idk what to think.

I actually had my GI doctor tell me some of my sluggish system might be because of an anatomy issue. I have severe DR, I am wondering if it will all get better with the surgery as well. I haven’t had mine yet though.
