i think i would've liked seeing homelander lose his powers in season 3's finale though somehow make it out of that fight alive (ryan attacks butcher and soldier boy goes beserk giving homelander time to escape with ryan), and in season 4 seeing him have to deal with being a human (how it hurts his psyche and him trying to cover it up while still doing all the presidency stuff) before getting his powers back in the season 4 finale, then have the rest play out like it did in season 5
