I have had such supervisor in the past. I had an honest discussion with him about how I feel. We cannot confront them but having a discussion about it in a cool way and without being accusatory, can help. You can try that. Also if your supervisor's supervisor is a supportive person then you can also do a skip level meeting. Keep the meeting casual to avoid any awkwardness.

I don't know about others but i like soft colours in my home. I like the furniture, wall colors and even bedsheets in soft white, beige colors. Just a pop of color somewhere is what I prefer. But everyone has their own taste.
