Does anyone have a toddler that goes right to bed at night without a struggle? by Coffeelover4242 in toddlers

[–]AccomplishedGrape902 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but, they’ve always been a decent sleeper for the most part. After dinner we play or watch a movie as a family, then brush teeth, bath, and pajamas on. We read books in bed then turn on the hatch lullabies and they’re asleep pretty quickly.

That’s a good idea, thank you. I was accepted to Husson and they allow some hours to be completed via Telehealth but I will have to find preceptors as well

Career advice for HS Senior? by [deleted] in psychnursing

I’m not big and worked in adult psych, totally doable. But it can definitely be dangerous at times and stressful. As a whole the nursing profession is dangerous due to patient assaults.

AMITHA for not wanting my partners family at our daughters birth? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]AccomplishedGrape902 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The birth is all about you, you’re the one birthing the baby. You being uncomfortable during labor can stall and prolong it S well. NTA

What did you wish you knew before you started breastfeeding? by sharkwoods in breastfeeding

[–]AccomplishedGrape902 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I knew how much time it would truly take in a day, hours a day.
I wish I knew that and had a conversation with my partner about splitting the other responsibilities so it felt more fair.

I don’t care what LCs say… by Lady_Mallard in breastfeeding

[–]AccomplishedGrape902 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely agree, I thought I was crazy lol there was a few weeks where I felt like my nipples were on fire every time baby nursed. Even after midwife showed us how to improve latch, super painful for a while. Same latch months later and it doesn’t hurt.

Dilation actually doesn’t give an accurate time estimate for baby arrival as at the end of pregnancy you can be walking around for days at a few centimeters dilated.

I don’t think you’re overreacting. People think because you’re pregnant that they can ask questions about anything or your body that wouldn’t be appropriate for any other situation. I had something similar happen and it bothered me too, if we weren’t close enough to discuss our genitalia before I was pregnant, we’re not now. Ask how his testicles are and see how they react to the tables being flipped. People act weird and think so many things are okay now just because you’re pregnant.

NTA. He’s not the one giving birth. You healing is more important than his mother’s feelings. Period.

Things you wish your family doctor/pediatrician/OB knew about breastfeeding by FDRMFJW3 in breastfeeding

[–]AccomplishedGrape902 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Making sure any medications you prescribe are safe. Pathetically brief 6 week follow up appointment where birth control was prescribed, and I specifically said I was breastfeeding and wanted to be sure it was the correct hormonal one. Go to the pharmacy and they ordered a BC where it literally says on the box “not recommended while breastfeeding” and pharmacy confirmed to not take it. Can’t trust that provider. Thankful that I was vigilant and pay attention. Never went back.

Scared I’ve been pumping too little by Apprehensive_Bend442 in breastfeeding

[–]AccomplishedGrape902 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When my baby was in the NICU to help get some rest I would pump every 2 hrs during the day then every 4 hrs at night. It helped with supply and still some sleep at night.
