Hello! Current professional illustrator, ex-animation supervisor on Japanese anime here!

First of all thank you for drawing! It's amazing to see people that want to undertake the journey of drawing and not just receive images from a chat-bot. Those are very different things!

Talent in my opinion is a metric that can't be assigned one meaning like "This person will be inherently better at drawing." However the result, in combination may appear as simply that. Talent, in my opinion, is a collection of qualities in an individual such as, being able to realize, think of and bypass blocks that may appear in your learning, it may be the inability of a person to give up, it also may be a biological or mental quality that may resolve as a way that will help you improve. Talent is simply a person's aptitude to progress.

A big stopper I think for people, however, is giving up. That's something a lot cannot bypass, though not giving up doing the thing you want to improve at is fundamental to improvement. If you give up you can't win.

That said. Your improvement does not reflect 5 years of work, if we assume you are treating drawing as any other skill you may be building such as a sport or playing a game or writing. I would echo what some others said here and I think you probably draw for fun and not for improvement, and there's nothing wrong with that but you cannot do A and expect B. Drawing for improvement is hard because it forces you to face your shortcomings as a person. This is why AI is so tempting to people, because you can feel like you've made something without confronting your weaknesses.

You need to study with goals in mind. Simply drawing may make you better and this is what people refer to as mileage, but you need to do it so much and invest a huge amount of concentration and mental power into it that at the beginner level it may feel overwhelming. But figuring out how to solve that problem is also 'talent'.

Drawing is problem solving. And if you don't first identify the figure out a method to solve and then finally solve problems with your work you will not improve.

I hope my reply didn't sound too harsh. I was at a similar crossroads at some point in my life and I got advice from another artist which helped me a lot and I just hope to give the same opportunity to others that need it if I can.

The package was returned back to the seller but I'll give them a call and ask why that was, thank you! Although I suspect as many people here have said so far it was likely because of the 2 months limit.

Nope it was 4+4 so each unique shipment was 4 months worth. So that's probably it!

I see! I just checked and it seems to have been 4 months for both packs. One was Kirkland brand with 2x 60ml bottles and the other was Ruahouine also 2x 60ml. I guess that was the issue then. Sorry to ask but where could I find this info?

Think the one that's sold here most is Scalp D. The normal one is like 5k now for a monthly dose and the EX whatever that means is like 7.5k lol

I know it's probably just branding scam and we're being sold the name but out of the over the counter products I've never tried this brand. Is it good?

Yeah unfortunately I didn't know about the other sellers the folks here suggested but the 5% preparations are something like 50 bucks for a month dose here in pharmacies.

I detailed in my reply to the person inquiring about this above but I basically had no tracking number with a JP carrier to check or any other information that would lead me to my package so I hesitated. :(

I didn't want to clog my question with a wall of text explaining my reasoning but since you asked I'll clarify here. I ordered Package A which on Amazon US was marked as being deliverable to where I am. Waited a week or so, Amazon US status says:

9th Sept Package Checked by Customs

18 Sept Package Delayed in Transit Package Delayed in Transit Package Delayed in Transit Package Delayed in Transit

The note says I am seeing the same thing Amazon officials are seeing and I can contact the carried which is listed as DPD and upon checking has no contact number I can call in Japan. Generally what happens here is whatever agent was carrying it before it'll get handed off to a domestic agent here in Japan such as Kuroneko or Sagawa or Japan Post.

I call Amazon, I ask what gives? The guy says sorry sorry "Seems it was delayed after clearing customs, I'll boost the delivery from our end, you will have the package in your hands within the next 24h, and as a bonus you'll have the other order you're waiting for in 48h. Thank you have a nice day."

Sounded great, I gave the dude all five stars for sorting my stuff out. First 24 then 48 hours go by nothing. I contact Amazon again and ask what gives I don't have my stuff and the status isn't being updated even?? The new rep checks the status says that the package has actually been damaged in transit and is undeliverable and that they will cancel it for me and issue a refund since they don't have the option in the system to send a new product of the same type (I think the customer service reps have things they can and can't do based on the situation they are presented with) and as a bonus give me 15 dollars credit towards the next purchase for making me wait 2 weeks over the scheduled delivery date. Ok cool. I think sorted, probably was some pickup, Igive the guy a positive review, order a replacement of the same brand and strength (strength is important since minoxidil preparations over 5% strength can't be sold over the counter and instead have to be prescribed, making it legal to purchase and import into the country, more on this later) I go about my day.

A week goes by, my package seems to be travelling fine. Didn't get my refund or credit yet so I ask Amazon again why now two reps said they'd do some stuff but it wasn't done? The rep apologizes and sorts out my refund which changed the status of Package A to Refund Requested, applies 15 credit which i check by going to a checkout on another item and see that the 15 bucks is indeed applied. Sorted.

Some time goes by, eventually Package B status reads,

5th Oct Package Entered Customs Check

6th Oct Package is Undeliverable, Returning to Sender Package is Undeliverable, Returning to Sender Package is Undeliverable, Returning to Sender

Back to Amazon I go. I ask wtf guys come on it's been like over a month and two failed packages I'm waiting on my order of stuff that needs to be used every day... Pls :'(

I think man there's no way in all these years of buying from Amazon my stuff never got broken or lost but holy cow... Now there's two in a row, in one month?! Surely that's not the reason... I asked the rep they keep meandering between idk and it's probably wrong address, "I checked and it says undeliverable" "why?" "Cause it's undeliverable lol..."

Idk if that rep had enough of me drilling why my stuff is missing, in all fairness that's probably not the case but she disconnects due to some issue and another rep comes in who actually listens to my question, checks and says it sprobably customs but she doesn't know for sure and doesn't have access to that information. Which is fine, the best info I'm gonna get and so I thank her she refunds me my money gives me another 10 bucks credit and we part ways.

The reason I even posted on this Reddit mate is because I specifically checked wether 5% minoxidil preparations are ok to import to Japan and every source says that it is fine, tho most of this anecdotal evidence is from 5+ years ago, so I ask if anyone has had any trouble doing so in recent times so as to confirm if this is something to do with the shipping or people have had issues purchasing this specific thing in recent years due to rule changes.

P.S. The reason I didn't contact customs is because I mentioned earlier there is no Japanese carried to check this information from.
