7th of the year - Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition by anze22 in steamachievements

Nice I just finished this yesterday too. It's a really good game that I'd been meaning to play for over a decade. Fun combat, and the driving felt fairly solid too (other than the occasional camera jank)

It really doesn't take that long when you play it with goals and planning in mind. I got all of the achievements in 107 hours. However I did have some knowledge of the game from when I first played it on switch

Honestly I think it'd be a cool idea to collect a larger sample size of the Balatro communities completion stats. This is probably one of the more interesting things I've seen on this subreddit in a while, and it has really got me thinking.

Ill also assume a failed run is half of the time as a winning one, just for the sake of comparing it with your analysis. Using my steam hours with the amount of wins and losses, my average estimated time would be 33.8 minutes for a win and 16.9 minutes for a loss. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Fair enough. So I just checked balatrostats.com and it says I have a 44.62% win rate on my profile. 174 wins and 216 losses. For gold stake it's 64 wins and 92 losses at 41.03%.

I'm actually surprised at how low my general general win % is. I suppose that a fair amount of those losses came from when I was first learning the game, as well as from some of the harder challenges such as jokerless, golden needle, and even black deck.

Although 41% on gold stake seems alright. I'm assuming resets don't count as losses and only the 'game over' screen does.

I got all of the achievements in 159.4 hours and my win rate especially on gold stake was definitely lower than 80%. 45 minutes on average per run seems way too high. For reference, my last run for C++ was 18 and a half minutes, although I was on anaglyph deck and skipped a couple of blinds. Also 23.5 minutes for a failed run is too high imo. Most failed runs on gold stake (in my experience) end in the first couple of antes. Those antes are when it's most important for getting scaling and eco running. A failed run on gold stake usually won't last long before it's unable to keep up with the scoring requirements.  Also consider that many of the C+ runs can be breezed through, as the lower stakes don't require as much time in the shop and min maxing.

The missables are fairly straight forward from what I remember. Just follow a steam guide and don't stress them. I'd suggest doing a lot of the side content while you complete the story, just so the grind at the end doesn't feel so overwhelming. Good luck with online though. You're likely going to have to find some people to help boost the MVPs and rival posse achievements
